Very Impressive

Author's Product Rating: 50 Recommended: Yes

Pros: Comfortable + Roomy, Well Thought Out Design, Impressive Feature List
Cons: Poor Tire Traction, GPS could be more Ergonomic
The Bottom Line: Top of the line SUV packed with features

Let me begin by saying that I believe that the 2003 Range Rover is first in its class in luxury, design and features. This Range Rover is a status symbol by all means; if it doesn’t say so through it’s impressive looks or solid presence, then its ... read more

A dream become a nightmare

by
Mar 11, 2004 - Updated Mar 14, 2004 (A Very Helpful review)

Author's Product Rating: 10 Recommended: No

Pros: A beautifully crafted piece of artwork, looks great, comfortable, luxurious feel, quality materials
Cons: Ruined by lousy workmanship, electrical glitches galore and unresponsive, uncaring management
The Bottom Line: Land Rover's reputation for poor quality is true. Their Management could use some Public Relations skills. BMW should have sold Land Rover to Lexus instead of Ford.

I have dreamed of owning a Range Rover since I first rode in one as a child in Switzerland in 1971. In 2003 I was finally able to realize that dream and in late May I bought a 2003 Range Rover. The truck is beautiful, it is the ultimate SUV for comfort ... read more

Why settle for less than the best???

by
Dec 7, 2003 (A Helpful review)

Author's Product Rating: 50 Recommended: Yes

Pros: Flawless Ride, Impeccable Design and Abundant Interior Space
Cons: A Bit Greedy On Fuel Cosumption, But Not Much More Than Others Near Its Class
The Bottom Line: Driving is no longer a chore and now a pleasure. My Porsche is nice for an occasional spin, but for everyday use, the Range Rover wins hands down.

Originally I was going to be content with an Infiniti FX45, but thank God for poor customer service at Infiniti, where after 15 minutes of wandering the lot and showroom, a salesperson could not be bothered to approach me. On the same day, I did also ... read more

Absolutely fabulous!

by
Mar 5, 2003 - Updated May 24, 2003 (A Very Helpful review)

Author's Product Rating: 50 Recommended: Yes

Pros: leg and headroom, buttons everywhere, drives great, gorgeous interior
Cons: Ignition key not as cool as previous model
The Bottom Line: I would recommend it. We have received excellent service from the dealer in our area (for 5 years). Just make sure you have deep pockets for repairs.

First I'd like to say that this is my 3rd Range Rover. The first was a 93 long wheel base (LWB) and the 2nd was a 2000 4.6 HSE w/navigation. I have loved and hated both of them. The 2003 model has SO much more room for driver, passengers ... read more

Classic, Comfortable, Capable

Author's Product Rating: 40 Recommended: Yes

Pros: * Excellent fit and finish * Amazingly quiet * Luxury-car ride * Beautiful interior
Cons: * Horrible Navigation system. * Poor fuel economy
The Bottom Line: If you want a luxury car ride, exceptional off-road capability, and a classy vehicle that will take you down muddy slopes as easily as to dinner,

This is my second Range Rover so far. My first was a 1996 4.6 HSE that I had purchased used in 1998, under the Land Rover certified used vehicle program. I had not been interested in Range Rovers initially, but after my first few days with the old one, ... read more

Land Rover Discovery - Big, expensive and roomy!

by
Jan 4, 2003 (A Very Helpful review)

Author's Product Rating: 40 Recommended: Yes

Pros: Great looking vehicle and exceptional roomy interior.
Cons: Stiff and not a real comfortable ride.
The Bottom Line: Great rental car but not one I would buy. Great looking vehicle, but the comfort is not there for long rides and suspension system is stiff and hard.

The 2003 Land Rover Discovery V-8 was a recent rental. We enjoyed the initial novelty of it. However, it is British and not conventional to the American driver. I am a frequent renter of all kinds of vehicles, and found difficulty determining various ... read more

Pros: Beautiful vehicle, exterior, and interior. Tough frame, very comfortable and smooth ride
Cons: Headaches Galore major/minor repairs are outrageouly expensive and frequent. Regardless of maintenance!
Range Rover designed a beautiful vehicle for asthetic purposes with the upgrade in '03, but the headaches that come along with it are outrageous. I bought mine '03 RR used and have put in over 1000.00 in repairs in less than 2 years of having it. I ... read more

Pros: It might have one of the nicest interiors out there.
Cons: I could go on forever. See body
Iíve owned a lot of high end vehicles and the new Rang Rover is hands down the most disappointing. If it were $30,000.00 less, I might be able to overlook some of its flaws, but itís not so I wonít. After the wonderful interior itís all down hill. This ... read more
