Pros: Fast, very comfortable, nice amount cargo space, 3rd row seating. Cons: Gas guzzler MAJOR FLAW IN NAVIGATION DISPLAY DOESN'T WORK IN COLD WEATHER - FORD/LINCOLN KNOWS.AND.WON'T.FIX.DEFECT. The Bottom Line: DUE TO PROBLEMS WE ARE HAVING WITH THE INTERIOR OF THE CAR FALLING APART, AND WINDOW, AND NAVIGATION DISPLAY PROBLEMS, I WOULD LOOK INTO ANOTHER SUV.
Read of for problems with 2003, 2004, 2005 Lincoln Aviator Navigational Display. As my husband was making his way through what I call his "mid car crisis", while searching for a new car to lease he argued that he didn't want a plain old Saturn, he ...

Pros: Good towing capacity, towed well in Rockies with a 5000 lb trailer (loaded). That's it. Cons: Poor design. Poor engineering. Poor construction. Unbelievably poor service. The Bottom Line: Do not buy these vehicles used. In fact, do not take one if it is given to you, it will be cheaper to buy something new.
We purchased the Lincoln Aviator in 2003 specifically because we intended to tow a travel trailer out west in the Rockies and wanted the power it would provide as well as the seating for the kids in the rear. At the time, no Japanese SUV would tow ...

Pros: Perfectly designed, engineered and built and pure pleasure to drive. Cons: I honestly could find none and I drove it cross-country! The Bottom Line: There are very few autos in or out of the SUV class that impressed me as much as the Aviator.
My first observation after getting behind the wheel and putting a hundred miles behind me was this: There is no doubt about it, this is really a First Class Aviator!
When I initially approached the Aviator in the lot I was impressed by its...

Pros: Good if you live in the mountains or if you go off-roading. Cons: Crazy to own if you DON'T live in the mountains or go off roading. The Bottom Line: With the variety of automobiles available to the US public, the overall quality of lincoln cars simply cannot compare to similarly priced European & Japanese cars.
I can't believe they're charging $40-$50,000 for this thing. A friend of a friend had just bought on ...

Pros: Great ride, excellent handling and lots of POWER. Cons: None really. I suppose the gas mileage could be a little better. The Bottom Line: This is the finest SUV I've ever driven, and I'm an experienced SUV owner of 27 years. Pure power, elegance, and class, are the sum of this machine.
God gave the plans for man to Moses on Mount Horeb. 5000 years later He must have given the plans for the perfect SUV to Lincoln. I've been driving SUV since I started driving in '76. Jimmys, Blazers, Explorers, and Jeeps were all in my garage. I...

Pros: Nice Trim Details, excellent acceleration and handling for an SUV Cons: Poor Reliability, Bad Dealer Experiences The Bottom Line: This car needs some time to evolve. It currently has many growing pains that, if you are looking to avoid a very frustrating experience, wait until 2005 to buy it.
We purchased this SUV as we needed to buy something that would act as a nice Daily Driver as well as ...

Pros: powerful, sleek, doesnt have that overly 'big' truck feeling, looks damn good on the road. Cons: After 18 months the MPG is 12.5 mpg (city) and 17-18 mpg on (highway).
Very nice SUV.
Very fast and powerful with excellent passing abilities.
Trunk space is only about 12" when the 3rd row is in use, but then again how many SUVs really have big trunk space?
The mpg sucks (literally) in the city at 12.5 mpg.
I would definitely recommend this truck to anyone.
Get the traction control features with it. :-)

Pros: Style Cons: GAS MILEAGE and Quality
I have my Aviator for almost 6 months now and have not seen better than 10 miles per gallon....and that was while I was driving DOWN HILL!
All in all I love the vehicle, but a LEXUS it's NOT. The quality of the Aviator is just marginal.
My front bumper has clear-coat that is peeling, my sun visor is splitting at the seam and the cover for the rear AC outlet won't stay closed.
I'm not sure if I'll go American again the next time around....

Pros: Seats, Ride, Driveline, looks darn sharp, stereo, about as safe as you can be Cons: No cabin filter, manual seatback adjustment, manual mirror, more compartments would be nice
Lincoln hits a home run. My first SUV. Not too big and not too small. Engine for days. wonderful tranny. Drive 10 hours with those fabulous seats (A/C seats should be standard on every vehicle in America!)and feel just fine. If it will get me the per operating mile value of my '98 Continental I will buy another lincoln!
