Pros: Price is lower than other SUV; Fun to drive Cons: Appearance will turn some people off; Could use a little more power The Bottom Line: Aztek is a good choice for those who want a vehicle similar to an SUV, with a few additional features, for outdoor adventures.
Pontiac has made a few inroads into the vehicle market in the past ten years by expanding into areas where it was once a non- player. A few years ago, Pontiac introduced the Montana, a passenger vehicle that was designed to compete with the other...

Pros: Value for power with amenities. All-around great build quality. Everyday driving pleasure! Cons: Miss 30+ mpg. Gotta slam doors. Small rear view mirror. The Bottom Line: I bought the Aztek out of dozens of possibilities...if you're reading this review, consider why others like you decided to take the next last step--you won't be wrong.
Never have I felt the need to write on any product, though I've lurked on Epinions for years, as well as KBB and Edmunds. Well, the Aztek (with a K) warrants that. I wrote a review on Edmunds, but with their 400 character limit, felt cramped. I've b ...

Pros: FUEL ECONOMY, FIT AND FINISH, ROOMINESS, SOUND SYSTEM, SMOOTH DRIVING, COMFORTABLE, INTERIOR DESIGN Cons: NOT MANY The Bottom Line: If your in doubt this is basically a good vehicle, inexpensive, reliable, efficient, roomy, comfortable and fun!
I traded in my 2000 nissan frontier crew cab with 62k for an 03 pontiac aztec with 37k. This may not sound like the smartest move, but thus far it has been a good compromise. The frontier had what I consider terrible fuel economy and that was the main ...

Pros: Cargo Space, styling, fit&finish, excellent ride Cons: none so far. (even 6 months later) The Bottom Line: If this car appeals to you, go test drive one. You'll be hard pressed to find a better value or a better vehicle in this price range.
I have to admit that when I read the first reviews of the Pontiac Aztek, I was mildly surprised to find out that many people are labeling this car as ugly. Personally I disagree with that assessment but beauty is in the eye of the beholder. The first ...

Pros: reliable V6 power, handles better than minivan, price after discounting Cons: questionable styling, high sticker price, gimmicks are "love it or hate it" The Bottom Line: As long as you don't mind the looks, this vehicle is better than any minivan and does the job of most SUVs for a price that is heavily discounted
My parents were looking for a 2-box vehicle to replace their Mercury Sable, because they needed room at the back to transport their dogs. They weren't interested in a wagon, and wanted V6 power, so we looked at medium-sized SUVs and minivans. After ...

Pros: The Price, the drive, the room! Cons: not many at all The Bottom Line: Outstanding value, everything you want in an SUV and more
I love my 2003 Aztek. I've had it a little over a year now, and have had no problems. Yes, I traded in my Lexus RX300 for an Aztek. Everyone thought I was crazy...except for my kids....they thought it was cool. Last January, after reading lots of ...

Pros: Very roomy, lots of features for the money Cons: So-so gas mileage, not exactly a "babe magnet" The Bottom Line: It may be ugly, but it sure is a good buy!
I guess I'll never get used to people pointing and laughing at my maroon 'Tek 03, but I don't regret the purchase. I've had it for 6 months now and have never had any problems in spite of the warnings for various GM technical bugs I read online. Knock on ...

Pros: Unique Styling, Comfort, Sleek Interior, Fun Accessories Cons: The spoiler across the back window - until you get used to it The Bottom Line: Buy it - it's fun and practical
I know they say you either love them or hate them, but make no mistake I love my Aztek! When they first came out in 2001, I thought they were the ugliest vehicles on the road. Over time I came to realize that they were unique and eye catching. ...

Pros: Lots of leg room, cheaper than most SUVs, lots of options, lots of accessories Cons: No 3rd row seat, only seats 5 The Bottom Line: I would definitely recommend this vehicle. It's cheap and has so much space. Great for people who move a lot but don't like the bumpy ride of a truck.
I just love it! They are so roomy and such a good deal. We got some many more options than other SUVs on the market. I take it everywhere! I love all the accessories like the tent and bike racks. The sliding tray in the trunk is great for groceries....

Pros: Lots of space. All wheel drive will get you there Cons: Needs more power. The ugliest car on the road. The Bottom Line: Avoid it simply because it's ugly and there are much more attractive choices you'll be able to resell!
I drove this car from a rental agency. I stopped at a gas station and one person even commented to me, "why did you buy such an ugly car?" I explained it was a rental. But the point is, unless your a masochist, this is extremely ugly. It is very...

Pros: Large cargo area. Very versatile, easy to fold seats. Great sound system. Cons: Awkward rear view due to the back window. Doors are heavy.
You either love them or hate them but either way the Pontiac Aztek is a very versatile vehicle. A mid-sized SUV that is good on the gas and gives you the feel of a much larger vehicle. Very fun and functional. Easy fold seats and lots of high cargo area.
Aztek owners "get" each other and most wave as you pass.

Pros: Removable cooler, unique style, regular gas/ better then regular mileage, good headroom, comfortable to drive. Cons: No grab bars above the doors, only remote tailgate latch.
I bought mine 2003 Aztec almost a year ago, 50,000 miles, all the toys (except "Heads Up" and Leather seats) for 10,700. Original owner paid 24,300. I love it. No mechanical issues at all,it rides great, stereo is fine and seats are comfy. Besides how many SUV's have a removable cooler between the seat???? I like that it looks different, and gas mileage is better than most. Check it out, you won't be disapointed!

Pros: AWD in these things are FANTASTIC! Lots of room. It's adorable. Cons: GM's engineer can't fix it! HELP! if anyone has an idea please let me know!
I bought an aztek last October. It is now February. I love it. That thing goes through the snow like nobody's business :) However, I have had it in the shop.. let's see... 12 times?... maybe 15? The tires were bad, the window on the rear hatch was loose (rattled) The window had dirt in it ( go figure ) so it squeaked loud when rolled up or down. The brakes are REALLY loud, but the shop says they are fine and just do that.. so they won't fix it. The real problem, though, is a strange vibration. They have now replaced 2 tires, rebalanced the tires 3 times, replaced the rear differential, drive shaft, front springs, transfer case, and I am now waiting for my new tranny. They can not figure out what is wrong with it!! I just want it to be fixed! But a GM engineer has come up here and he thought it was the transfer case. Apparently wrong. I will keep you posted
***** New.... GM Bought it back as a lemon. :) I now own a 2003 Impala. No problems whatsoever with it so far :)

Great Quirky Little Van/SUV

Pros: Value, quality, utilitarian, & very reliable GM powertrain. Cons: The rear hatch needs to be redesigned like the Buick Rendezvous to allow better access.
Sure I was not impressed with the looks when we decided to buy this but it was much cooler and affordable than a mini-van. The vehicle has all the room we need, plenty of horsepower, the transmission shifts smoothly, and we love the bright yellow color. Value and function are high marks to this high quality GM vehicle that shows that I am not trying to compensate for something...
