Pros: Eager engine, adventurous interior, oddball personality. Cons: Oddball looks, stiff ride, high noise levels, unknown quality. The Bottom Line: If bizarre is your bag, it's worth a look--but there are better alternatives from a driving/owning standpoint.
My Experience I test-drove a Suzuki Aerio GS 5-speed sedan at a local dealership. My test drive lasted about half and hour, and covered city streets, winding secondary roads, and the freeway. Performance The Aerio's ...

Pros: Great value, lots of standard features not found in most cars, spacious interior and cargo Cons: digital dash for those who can't get used to it, rolls a bit around curves The Bottom Line: If you can get used to the digital dash and other features, you will most likely enjoy this car since it offers a lot for your money
Revised May 28th, 2004. When I recently was in the hunt for an additional car, I looked at lots of newspaper ads, searched for information on the various cars on the internet and of course, checked out various car dealerships and test drove them ...

Pros: Peppy, comfortable, well-appointed, safe, distinctive, sporty, quality Cons: Perhaps too distinctive; mini-mini-van bland fender styling The Bottom Line: Nimble and great fun; a practical and inexpensive commuter car with sport; excellent Suzuki quality, backed by a super warranty.
The review title is a quote from the New York Times article of December 29, 2002, where noted automobile writer James G. Cobb included the Aerio SX as one of the dozen 2002 models that "left the most favorable impressions." He wrote that the Aerio SX is...

Pros: Great value, unique styling, powerful and roomy, lower expected maintenance costs. Cons: Few Suzuki dealers, limited paint colors, susceptible to high winds, rear seats aren't removable. The Bottom Line: I highly recommend this car. If you are thinking about buying a small yet roomy car, the Aerio is a great choice.
When I first heard about the Aerio, it was touted as being the next big car to follow in the footsteps of the PT Cruiser. While it is bit smaller than the PT, my 2003 Aerio SX looks nothing like it. I am glad because I don't like retro styling. In...

Pros: Standard equipment, Nice Stereo, Warranty, Ease of entry Cons: Rough ride, Undertemp Overdrive lock out, resale value, optional armrest The Bottom Line: Want an Aerio? Buy one 1 year old at 1/2 the cost of a new one. Hope the reliability lives up to comments on the Edmunds message boards
February 03 I purchased a Pearl White 2003 Suzuki Aerio SX automatic, no AWD no ABS. Initial impression, fun to drive, and roomy, very nice standard options. Neat looking vehicle.

Pros: Edgy styling, tremendous interior and trunk space, wonderful stereo system, above average amenities, great value. Cons: Dealership network too thin, velour seats attract lint, visibility hindered when backing, mileage estimates unproven. The Bottom Line: I highly recommend the Aerio. Suzuki's value and warranty are difficult to surpass. Although Suzuki needs to increase access to dealerships, I have found their service to be excellent.
As a Suzuki automobile owner, when I first saw the Aerio in 2002, I thought, "What are they doing?" The design did not set my heart on fire. However, I gave it a second look when I was in the market for a new car and the Aerio had received the Consumer ...

I bought my aerio sx hatchback a year ago this month. I traded in a very reliable 1992 Dodge Hatchback for this car. Now I'm hoping that this one will serve me just as well. The first week I had it I took it on a long rode trip and it went very well. ...

Pros: great motor/trans/shifting/Comfy seating/lots of room/easy to drive/good mpg. Cons: brakes tad weak/moves around on windy days/rear window defogger heats up too slow/ride little mushy. The Bottom Line: Great new car under $15k with all options. Good bang for the buck. Not as refined as Honda or Toyota, but not far off and in some areas better.
I bought a used 2003 Aerio on 12/5/06 and I am pleased with it. First I am an ex Pro Moto crosser and rode Suzuki's and Honda MX bikes for over 20 years, so I have history with Suzuki products. Here is my take, offers more car for little money, great 2.0 ...

In 2005, disappointed that the 2004 Aerio had gone analog display, I went out to seek a 2003 cats-eye blue sedan, which no Michigan dealer seemed to have. We already owned a 2002 dark green, which after we bought it used- was adopted by my husband. At ...
