Pros: Excellent layout of displays and controls, security and sophistication Cons: A bit pricey The Bottom Line: Just trust the reliability and craftmanship that are expected in a Toyota. The Avalon is the synonym of sophistication.
If one thing is clear, it's that Toyota knows how to roll out cars, trucks, SUVs and Sedans that soon become the darlings of the average consumer. With the Toyota Avalon, Toyota has uncovered a new niche of conservative consumers who want value,...

Pros: It’s a lot of car for the money, and nicer than most cars out there. Cons: Dealership experience and Toyota Factory support for their products. The Bottom Line: Take your business elsewhere until Toyota proves they care about the customer 3 years after the sale and offers updates for their $2000.00 factory installed accessories.
The Avalon itself really is a great car. I have had a few problems with the Toyota dealership experience, the sound system, the braking system, and the DVD navigation system though, which I will discuss at the end of this review. First let me tell ...

Pros: Smooth, ultra quiet performance. Instrumentation. Luxury feel. Wonderful level of equipment.
Visibility, particularly up front. Cons: Inadequate range of seat adjustments. Undistinguished rear styling.
Lacks high-speed oomph. The Bottom Line: So much luxury and tranquility at a price $10K less than a comparable competitor. Oozes quality.
We stumbled on the Toyota Avalon by chance. Having been impressed with the spaciousness and performa ...

Pros: Smooth ride, Lexus type appointments and luxury, quite perky engine, cavernous rear seats, unquestionable reliability. Cons: No Radio display in bright sunlight, heated seats don’t recycle well The Bottom Line: Best Value, Safe, Quiet, Reliable, Smooth, Comfortable, loads of room.
This car is truly a Lexus in a Toyota wrapper. It has quality through and through, from its real wood inserts through its attention to detail. The car’s ride is smooth and luxurious even on long, extended drives. The seats are supportive, the dash well ...

Pros: Ultra-smooth and quiet ride, Plenty of power, Roomy back seat and trunk, Reliability Cons: Back seat doesn't fold down, Replacement tires are expensive The Bottom Line: Great car if you want or need an ultra-smooth ride.
This is a large, luxuriously comfortable, highway cruiser. This is not a sporty car, but it handles city and twisty roads just fine. I found this car when looking for a soft-riding car for my wife to drive after back surgery. We didn't want to spend ...

Pros: Luxury, reliability and a great value Cons: Needs a bit more PEP The Bottom Line: Luxury vehicle without the price to match. This is a fine car and it gets great mileage too.
This is Toyota at it's best. When you slip into this vehicle you are wrapped in luxury and will drive thinking you are in a much more expensive car. The seats are very comfortable and the butt warmer feature is a nice treat on a cold day. It handles very...

Pros: Everything! Comfort, handling, reliability, value, just the right bells and whistles. Cons: Undistinguished gas mileage; mfr suggests mid-grade rather than economy octane. Manual transmission wasn't available. The Bottom Line: This is a GREAT car which has worn well over the past 3 years. Only reason not to buy is if gas mileage/grade is your bottom line.
I bought my Avalon brand new, after discovering that the used ones depreciated so little that the 2003's features and new car smell were worth having. Nearly three years later I am still in love with this car. I went looking specifically for the Avalon ...

Pros: Quiet, luxuriously comfortable. Cons: Haven't found any.
Extraordinarily quiet, smooth engine. Excellent handling. Comfort rivals any luxury car. Rear seating is a first class experience with leg room for six footers and over. All this with the drivers and passengers seat in the full rear position. Outstanding mileage, 20-22 city, and 28-29 highway. Can you ask for anything more?
