Pros: Refinement, roominess, comfort, very good if not great performance Cons: Requires premium gas, pricey, even SE low on aesthetic and dynamic excitement The Bottom Line: A very refined, very comfortable car that performs better than I expected it to. But the Accord offers more for less money.
Ive always had a hard time getting excited about the Toyota Camry, despite its ever-increasing level of technical perfection. It has always seemed about as appliance-like as a car could get. Last year when the car was redesigned, Toyota made a ...

Pros: Good solid car, very comfortable. Cons: Plain looking. The Bottom Line: Very Good, reliable, solid, smooth riding car with a lot of power.
My wife and I bought a 2003 Camry XLE as a replacement for a 1980 Corolla as I did not like the Corolla at all. It was a very reliable car; it was just terribly uncomfortable to ride in for a long haul. Given the option, I'd have bought the Audi A 4, ...

Pros: Comfortable, reliable, fun enough to drive, and a very good value. Cons: The poor design of the keyfob, not going to win any style awards. The Bottom Line: If you want reliable, comfortable transportation that's fun (not exciting) to drive, the Camry SE may be a good choice.
I bought a 2003 Camry SE as a replacement for a 2000 Sentra S as I needed more room for my kids. I cross-shopped the Altima and Accord. The Altima didn't appear to be as sturdy (do the "door slam" test), and the Honda didn't feel like it had the same ...

Pros: Great car, reasonably priced. Cons: Stupid, unavoidable spoiler on my SE. The Bottom Line: If you want a car that will get you there without falling apart, this is the one!
I was in a hurry to buy a car last January (2003), so I spent some time doing my homework and it came down to the Camry or the Accord. While the Accord offered more amenities for the money, I couldn't fit my 6'1" frame comfortably in the one with the ...

Pros: Solid Toyota Quality, Smooth, Quiet, Roomy, Comfortable. Cons: Cheap Tires The Bottom Line: Buy it, you can't go wrong. A car does not get much better than this.
When we were looking for a car, and it came down between the 2003 Camry LE and 2003 Honda Accord LX, both automatics. We choose the Camry. The Camry is everything we expected.
The current "tall" body style took a while to get used to. At...

Pros: It's a nice shade of red and real pretty in the bright sunlight. Cons: I need a lot more than 15 words to list all the cons. The Bottom Line: My horrific experience with this camry has sworn me off all Toyota products. And I was their most loyal customer for more than two decades.
In 1991, I bought an almost new 1990 Geo Prizm (a Toyota Corolla in drag) and put 165,000 trouble free miles on that good little car. In 1998, I purchased a brand new 1998 Toyota Camry and that was the best car I ever owned. In 2003, I traded it in ...

Pros: Quiet, solid construction, great ride, economical, Cons: Expensive to buy used. The Bottom Line: Definately recommended. A solid no-frills get-you-where-you-need-to-go vehicle.
The first and only new car I've ever purchased was a 1969 Toyota Corona. I learned to drive on this vehicle so it remains a benchmark for all future vehicles. My wife also learned to drive on the Toyota Corona and after a Cadillac ran out in front ...

Pros: Very reliable, reasonable gas mileage Cons: Watch blind spot on right side mirror for medium-sized drivers The Bottom Line: Reliable transportation that is above-average in every other respect and good value for the money.
The 2003 Camry LE 4 cylinder is easy and comfortable to drive. This is my fifth Toyota and all have been practical, reliable, and long-lived (200,000 miles+)which is why I purchase Toyotas. They also get slightly above-average gas mileage relative to ...

Pros: Smooth, quiet ride. Good highway car. Cons: Rattles, poor responsive transmission, bland handling The Bottom Line: Not recommended; too many rattles, poor transmission.
After hearing about Toyota quality for years and years, I finally took the plunge and bought a 2003 Camry XLE. Overall, it has been a disappointment. Its good points are a quite ride, both in terms of wind noise and tire noise, comfortable seats and a ...

Pros: Quiet, smooth, comfortable for passengers. Cons: Incredibly mind-numbing for the driver. The Bottom Line: If you're looking for a safe, enjoyable family car with enough power for safe overtaking, look elsewhere. Maybe the V6 might be a little better?
My Camry experience was short-lived (4 days courtesy of Mr Hertz), but my first and lasting opinion was that this has to be one of the most bland conveyances imaginable. Sure, the engine's very quiet and the ride's superb. However, as a 2.4L automatic, ...

Pros: A Lexus by another name. Cons: Incredibly boring to drive. The Bottom Line: If you like the Lexus-style thang, but can't afford one, get this instead. If you conveniently miss the Toyota badge, you'll think it IS your Lexus.
The car being reviewed here is a 2003 Toyota Camry XLE V6. The Camry really needs no introduction, ...

Pros: Great Look, Nice Price, Plenty of Room Inside Cons: None The Bottom Line: I lives up to its reputation as an excellent vehicle.
This is our 2nd Camry. We had the 1999 model, which I hated. The 1999 model was cramped and rode much smaller that the 2003 model. My wife had to coax me to go along with her decision to upgrade, and wow, she was right this is a much better car.
