Pros: Nifty little number, easy to park, economical to run, roomy despite its size, good maneuverability.
Cons: In a prang, not much between you and the other vehicle. Rear seating rather cramped.
The Bottom Line: The 2003 Echo is a zippy little car, despite its small engine, roomy in the front and suitable for tall passengers/drivers. Nicely finished, good sound system, economical to run.

Cons: There is considerable road noise and other minor nits that reduce driving comfort.

Pros: It is surprisingly roomy and is great on gas.
Cons: Some people might not like that the speedometer is off to the side.
I actually own this car and it is the best one I've ever owned. I bought it strictly because I knew it was very good on gas and I received a very good price for it. I've driven hours in it across country and spent very little on gas. The seats were so comfortable that I didn't feel like I had to get out of the car and stretch. I never had to worry about it breaking down because it's so reliable. I have a friend who has driven in a standard one and states that it shifts "like a dream."

when i have first seen the echo i didn't like it. it's that kind of car you don't like like at first sight but when you drive it u see all the advantages I.E. gas mileage, room, insonorisation... i have been a civic addict from many years but i have to change my car and see the new echo at the dealer, take a test drive and i like it. The echo does not have the look or the feeling of a sport car like a civic but have so many pros. then you don't care of the cons. about your new echo. This car is more affect by the wind than others but it's not so terrible when you can drive about 700KM per tank on the highway
