Pros: Quality, reliability, fuel economy, good resale value, cute and sporty. Cons: Not much. If your body fits it, GREAT! The Bottom Line: Hey, you can easily do worse. I don't know if you can do better for this money. For snow, invest in Bridgestone Blizzak tires.
I bought my 2003 Echo in 2004. It was an Enterprise rental car. It had been well-maintained, and it wasn't a smoking car. It still had two years to go on the guarantee. It's been great, generally. It was easy to get used to the center speedometer. The ...

Pros: Handles very well in all road conditions, excellent gas mileage Cons: Well, it's a compact - you can't have everything The Bottom Line: Buy it!
In times when gas prices are sky-rocketting, I am very thankful for my Echo. My car has a manual transmission, which even increases the number of miles I can drive on a tank of gas. But fuel economy isn't the only reason why I love this car. I live in ...

Pros: Roomy inside! Love the cubby holes for stuff, great on gas, reliable, great ride Cons: Ashtray, I don't smoke but it was completely useless even if I did. The Bottom Line: I love this car!!!
I absolutely loved this car! I never once had a problem with it. I had three kids in the backseat that never really complained about the small backseat. I loved driving it, especially when I filled it up with gas and paid only $20. I never felt like I ...

Pros: Larger than the average subcompact Cons: An options list dating back to 1978 The Bottom Line: Its called the ECHO because you an hear Toyota customer's echoes yelling into headquarters saying build me a better car!
Back in January, I had the pleasure of going car shopping. At that time, I was looking for something to replace my 1995 Toyota Tercel, and my original plan was to get another Toyota. However, ridiculous resale values, including the quite hilarious ...

Pros: This is a very functional car that is cheap to operate and maintain. Cons: There is considerable road noise and other minor nits that reduce driving comfort. The Bottom Line: I recommend the Echo to any one looking for a reliable, low cost and comfortable commuter car.
My daily commute is a 40-mile round trip to and from work. In June of 2003, I wanted to buy a comfortable and reliable car that would be cheap to drive and maintain. After doing my homework, I bought a Toyota Echo. My Echo is a 4-door coupe with a 5 ...

Pros: Nifty little number, easy to park, economical to run, roomy despite its size, good maneuverability. Cons: In a prang, not much between you and the other vehicle. Rear seating rather cramped. The Bottom Line: The 2003 Echo is a zippy little car, despite its small engine, roomy in the front and suitable for tall passengers/drivers. Nicely finished, good sound system, economical to run.
Preamble For years I have been driving a clapped out Ford Falcon station wagon, its only virtue being that on the road everyone gets out of my way. Each time I touched it something else dropped off or broke, and whenever the temperature climbed ...

Pros: Peppy engine, low base price, awesome gas mileage, oddly fun style. Cons: Loud engine, under-equiped base model, uncomfortable seating. The Bottom Line: see review
I test drove this ECHO yesterday at a local dealership. I am in the market for a compact and the ECHO seems like a good product to me. I'll break down my review into several sections. 1. Performance. On 15" tires this car handles quite well, but you ar ...

Pros: Little on the outside, big on the inside. Great gas mileage. Cons: Maybe I'm biased, but I don't have any cons of great note The Bottom Line: I would not hesitate a single heartbeat to recommend this car. I have been extremely satisfied with it, and cannot sing it's praises enough.
I love the way they redesigned the 2003 model. I've been watching this car since it first came out, ...

Pros: Small outside, big inside. Economical. Good ride and handling. Storage, storage everywhere. Cons: Doors buzz slightly on rough pavement. Base model is Spartan. The Bottom Line: A roomy, thrifty, comfortable, well designed car.
I live outside of Honolulu. My kids attend school on the other end of town. Not only are there the usual drop offs and pick ups, but then there are the extracurricular activities. This means extra trips into town, often during rush hour. I wanted a car...

Pros: mileage, maneuverability, easy ingress and egress, visibility, driving comfort, Toyota quality & dependability Cons: not worth mentioning, but: ash tray, cup holders, pedals too close together, sidewind stability The Bottom Line: Try out a new ECHO and find out what ECHO owners already know. Two thumbs up, Toyota!
I unintentionally became the proud owner of a Toyota Echo about a month ago. I had only seen a few of these "goofy-looking little cars" on the highways around town and they never failed to give me a good chuckle because of their small size and...

Pros: Beautiful new design, roomy, gas saver Cons: No rear window defroster, small side mirrors, no power steering in the cheapest version. The Bottom Line: It will only get better if I didn't have to pay for it! Enjoy a great car at a great price.
Well, this review is gonna need to be updated. Paid $12745 for my 2 door manual transmision Echo today December 23rd at 5:30 pm. At 11:15 pm of my first day of the purchase the accesories fuse was blown up. Very rare. Tomorrow will use my warranty...

Pros: Gas mileage is very good. Roomy enough. 130, 000 miles
and going strong. Cons: I've had some difficulty finding decent replacement tires, but have recently found
a place.
I'm not much of a car aficionado, but the echo is a sweet looking car. I would say yes indeed a very aesthetically pleasing vehicle. The aqua mist color is especially pretty, and depending on the light of day the car feigns green or blue. Someone

Pros: Fuel efficiency, big cabin, huge trunk, great price! Cons: Needs arm rests for the front passengers.
My husband and I bought this car brand new in May 2003. We chose it because of its incredible fuel efficiency, roomy cabin, huge trunk, and fantastic price. Our car is completely reliable; we put an average of 80kms on it every day and we've never had
