PT Cruiser captured my heart!

Jan 20, 2009 (A Helpful review)

Author's Product Rating: 50 Recommended: Yes

Pros: Smooth ride.  Reasonably priced.  Gets good mileage.  Very roomy.
Cons: Blind spot toward outside bars of front window.  Two key holes, driver's door and trunk.
The Bottom Line: I am really satisfied with this car and if I trade it in it will be for another Cruiser!

I visited several car dealerships and even surfed the internet for the car of my dreams. Much to my dismay I knew what I did see I didn't want.  Two weeks later I tried again to find the car I hoped to take my breath away.  I drove to ... read more

PT Turbo if need for speed

Jun 5, 2007 (A Helpful review)

Author's Product Rating: 40 Recommended: Yes

Pros: Power, speed, nimbleness, looks.
Cons: Gas mileage is poor.
The Bottom Line: This is a keeper, if you don't mind the poor gas mileage. A throwback to when driving was fun and cool, without having to buy a monstrous SUV.

Having already purchased a new Chrysler PT Cruiser in 2002, I had experienced the versatility and style and enjoyed it. But that car could not get out of its own shadow. The car was truly a dog. And I got stuck in ice and snow very easily. Extremely ... read more

Author's Product Rating: 40 Recommended: Yes

Pros: Style, bling factor, function, acceleration.
Cons: bling factor, fuel economy, cheap plastic interior.
The Bottom Line: Practical and quick if you like the style and don't mind the gas mileage

My wife and I recently came to the realization that our family was outgrowing her Eclipse GT. It was fine as long as it was my knees wedged against the dash in the passenger seat to accommodate the baby seat in the back but one trip across town with ... read more

More Cruiser Models than You Can Shake a Stick At

by scmrak is a Lead on Epinions in Cars & Motorsports
Mar 27, 2004 - Updated Mar 28, 2004 (A Very Helpful review)

Author's Product Rating: 40 Recommended: Yes

Pros: improved QC, improved power, more trim options
Cons: still small, still quirky, still a monster turning radius
The Bottom Line: With Cruisermania having run its course, Chrysler has upped the ante with more trim levels and a new convertible model - making a better car in the process

It happens every few years or so - a new vehicle completely captures the public imagination, not to mention its pocketbook. In the first few months after the first Mazda Miata hit the streets, the little two-seater was so hot that dealers could slap an ... read more

Great car

Author's Product Rating: 40 Recommended: Yes
Pros: fun to drive, cute exterior, good gas mileage (30mpg)
Cons: expensive to insure, hard to clean exterior, not "manly", too small for a family.
I liked my pt cruiser. We never had any problems with it at all. We outgrew it (plus my hubby smashed it up) so, we upgraded to a minivan. It handled ok on bad roads. This was a fun sporty little thing. My husband hated it. He was too "manly" for a ... read more

Pros: Handles well on snow/ice. Great for larger individuals. Awesome storage. Cool design.
Cons: Cheap plastic underseat CD holder. Upholstery does not clean well.
Okay, I'm 6'2" and not exactly slender, I have two growing boys who will be at least as tall as I am and one is special needs with a wheelchair, so when our Saturn was driven into the ground we went looking and found the PT Cruiser suited our needs quite ... read more

Author's Product Rating: 20 Recommended: No
Pros: Looks, versatility
Cons: Mileage, Mileage, Mileage.
This is a great looking car for a person who can afford a smaller car which gets very poor mileage for a 4 cylinder. I have the Turbo 180 HP which uses regular gas , I use synthetic oil, have a K&N air filter and I get 17 mpg in the city and 22 mpg at ... read more
