Pros: Small, convenient package with all you need - just add fish Cons: Somewhat pricey, limited supplies at PetSmart or PetCo
Long before I got my little pug, I got bit by a betta! Yeah, those little fish in small cups at the pet store that come in different colors and have many tail types that if you just buy one, you get hooked and want to buy more! I actually bought a boy ...

Pros: Nice bowl shaped design Cons: Expensive, air pump noisy/hot, below average filter

NOISY! but cute.

Pros: Nice looking.
Easy to keep clean.
Nice accessories available. Cons: Noisy pump.
We purchased this item nine months ago and love the way it looks. We bought one of the foliage rings that goes around the center pipe - well worth the ten bucks. The aquarium is relatively easy to keep clean and clear - we put two Mollys in it upon purchasing it and they are still doing fine. The big (HUGE) downfall to this item is that the pump is SO NOISY! I've tried everything - hanging it on the wall, stuffing towels around it, propping it up on a box, Velcro-ing it to the shelf above the aquarium.... alas, nothing works. Our home is 1500ftsq and you can hear the pump in every part of the house.
