Pros: Wiig, Byrne, McCarthy, O'Dowd, Rudolph, Clayburgh; many humorous moments Cons: Long and not well-paced
Summary: Annie Walker is not having a good year. Her Milwaukee cake shop went out of business, and the best job she was able to get is one that she hates. She's so broke, she can't even afford repairs to her old car. She gets a bit of happy news when she learns ... read more

Pros: Hilarious, engaging, great plot, captivating, beliveable characters Cons: Slow in parts and a little gross with the woman stuff
Summary: I went into this movie with great expectations and left feeling satisfied and hungry for more. Will their be a II? Wondering if it would be the female version of Hangover, I was a bit happy and surprised to see it really wasn't. The storyline had it's ... read more

Pros: A great comedy with a hilarious cast. Cons: A few absurdities but not too bad

Pros: Smart, edgy, funny characters Cons: Wiig's acting, bland direction
Summary: Bridesmaids might just be the surprise hit of the summer. And good for Kristen Wiig. The Saturday Night Live star co-wrote and stars in the not-so-chick-flick about two best friends whose friendship is put to the test when one of them becomes engaged. ... read more

Pros: A touching look at a 30 something woman struggling with her life and her choices Cons: Certainly not for the squeamish, and may offend some.
Summary: I've been gone a while, so forgive me if my analysis is a little rusty, but I have to admit I enjoyed this movie. But then, I appreciated Borat too, so you have your perspective. This movie was a lot like Borat, with shock value humor ... read more

Pros: Funny, honest, relatable, well-paced, three-dimensional characters Cons: Some gags run a bit long

Summary: I saw the star of this film, Kristen Wiig ("SNL", "Date Night") on the Jon Stewart Show last week and she gushed that Judd Apatow ("Knocked Up", "The 40 Year Old Virgin") gave Kristen and co-writer, Annie Mumolo the green light to write the film as ... read more
