Pros: produces nice finished product Cons: always looking for a reason to hold up your order
Working in a Print shop, we use Carlson Craft as one of our vendors. I have had the unfortunate experience, of dealing with them every time we need to send them an electronic file. Every time I hear that I have to set up a full color business card, some...
Pros: Quality look and feel; easy assembly; variety of color customization Cons: Require extra postage for weight PLUS surcharge by Post Office. See review for details.
I recently ordered Carlson Craft "From the Heart" wedding invitations from Daisy-Days.com. After realizing that the red heart on the invitation cover was actually the peek of color resulting from weaving the ribbon of your color choice under the ...
Pros: often gives discounts and tries hard to make the dealer happy Cons: long wait times, electronic help hard to get
After working at Carlson Craft I have had the pleasure of working with some wonderful dealers and some incredibly rude dealers, Carlson Craft makes mistakes like any other company and for the most part I am confident in stating that they are in most ...
Pros: Still carry some quality products Cons: Many poor quality Products, extremely high error rate and total incompetence in management
For many years, Carlson Craft was known for their high-quality printed products, particularly wedding invitations. However, after a change in upper level management, things have steadily gone downhill. Carlson Craft has begun using low quality stocks on ...
Pros: Products look very pretty online. Cons: Poor quality, orders shipped late and the number of errors on orders is unforgivable!
Approximately two years ago we wrote a glowing review about Carlson Craft and dealers who were not happy with them. At this point in time, we must now say that we are having the same problems. Carlson Craft used to carry extremely high quality ...
Pros: some of their invitations look nice Cons: Too many misprints, very cheap paper stock and always late with orders
Aren't you happy you found out about Carlson Craft before you ordered from them, pc94306? They used to be really good, but not any more. My cousin got her invitations from them about 3 years ago and was very happy with their invitations and service. ...
Pros: Good products, customer service is very nice over the phone Cons: Way too many mistakes, communication problems
I am also frustrated by the number of mistakes Carlson Craft has made with my recent orders. I have lost business over it and have had many angry brides/customers over the mistakes and timing it takes to get what you need. When I send back ...
Carlson Craft - Horrible Experience!!!! by honestly22 ,Aug 24 '05
Pros: wide range of services Cons: poor customer service, slow turnaround, no quality control at all
After receiving poor quality labels from Carlson Craft's Label Works division that were out of register and it looked like they ran the photographic art at 65 line screen (which should have been ran at 150) - lowest quality than any other labels we have received from them before.
When we called customer service, which knew nothing - ABSOLUTELY NOTHING about the printing industry, we were told... "We only print what you give us"
Well, for those of you that do not know how printing works, the screens are generated by the printer before making plates. We were told that they were not going to reprint the labels.
We had other problems with previous orders that were obviously their problem and after the last order our company decided to send our business to another vendor.
Lost Business because of Carlson Craft by lulycelsa ,Feb 14 '05
Pros: Professional and quality products Cons: Poor customer service skills, lack of accountability. If they make a mistake, you lose.
We have been a Carlson Craft dealer for 7 years now and until recently, they had done their work just right. Unfortunately, this past Holiday card season (Dec. 2004), they really messed up on 3 of our customer orders. They were significant orders from prominent national companies --one of them was American Express. After we assumed they had dropped shipped the order to our customer, we found out the customer had not received the order and when we called to find out what happened, they said the cards were out of stock. No one had the courtesy of calling us to advise of the situation and instead the order was left in "limbo". When they suggested 2 alternative card style choices, we asked our customer, and when our patient customer decided on one of the choices the very same hour, Carlson Craft indicated that they were also out of stock. Needless to say, the business and future business from that customer was lost. The same thing happened with 2 other orders.
Carlson Craft has lost in customer service recently.
Pros: none Cons: Rude, unhelpful and useless service
I was on the Carlson Craft website browsing for invitations and ordered a sample invitation. I was charged $4.95 for it, which I thought was a little excessive given that if I liked it the invitations would cost me nearly $400. However, I did it anyway because I didn't want to buy invitations I haven't seen. When the "sample invitation" arrived it was a blank piece of paper. When I complained their sales representative informed me that the invitation I chose was printed all at once and they would not send me a sample that showed what an invitation would actually look like. Moreover, the representative was rude-- she had obvious handled many complaints of this nature before, but the company saw no need to do anything to make the website more clear about what a "sample invitation" entails. I would never buy an invitation I haven't seen from a company which is uncooperative.
