Pros: Best service around. Cons: None that I can think of!
My experience with both UPS and Fed Ex has been extensive--both for business and personal use. In both cases, Fed Ex was hard to beat. UPS has a problem frequently in locating a package--don't care about any tracking system they may have. Packages...

Pros: very fast, easy Cons: a little costly
fedex always is very timely and offers a variety of services. to be able to receive something same day is incredible, and i think though the cost may seem a little high that it is very worth it. they are very responsible about getting signatures and...

Pros: Reliable. On time. Cons: None I can think of.
Maybe you've read my review on the UPS ground service where I talk about how terrible it is. I've got about exactly the opposite to say about FedEx's 2nd Day service. This is FedEx's cheapest service but it's still very reliable and fast. The frustration...

Pros: Absolutely none. Cons: Driver did not even bother to knock let alone ring the door bell!!
I worked at home this morning because FedEx tracking said my package was on the truck for delivery. I went out to the porch at noon and discovered a door tag left there at 11:30. The driver did not ring the door bell or knock on the door. How lazy can ...

Pros: I really can't think of any. Cons: Over-priced, Late, Frequently Damaged Goods, Poor Buissness Ethic, Poor Customer Service
I live in Hawaii so I do most of my shopping online, unfortunately my location limits my shipping options. I have been forced into using FedEx on a number of occasions and have grown increasingly fed up with their service. I wish I had the option of ...

Pros: They attempted to deliver the package Cons: I had to drive way out of my way to get it.
I missed my package delivery at home by 20 minutes. No problem. The sticky note the driver left on my door said they will try for 3 consecutive days to deliver my package. Took the day off from work, waited ALL day long. No driver. At 8pm, I called the ...

Marking Business Delivery Residential to Avoid Delivery Time
by kurt92168 ,Mar 05 '06
Pros: In general FedEx normally gets it right Cons: Deceptive marketing practices/Doesn't honor promises
On 4 different occasions (in the San Diego Area) we sent packages to business locations (office buildings I have been to) and the FedEx driver has been late. They mark the tracking information as residential to avoid having to have someone sign for package. In addition their policy started in September 2005 they started charging a fee to obtain a signature on a package. I don't have a major problem with the fee except they make it difficult on their web shipping to select that option. In general their services have declined in the past 6 months... what is going on??? We are getting ready to pull our account and go back to UPS which seems to be getting it right once again.

sucks
by dzhank ,May 27 '05
Pros: sucks Cons: sucks
I waited my package on Tuesday.
It did not arrived.
On Wednesday after work, I found door tag saying that it was the second attempt!
I had to be at work on Thursday so
I called FedEx and tried to
reschedule delivery for Friday.
They refused to do it but said that I could reschedule on Thursday after the third attempt.
So I did it on Thursday and waited all Friday...
It was not delivered!
I called FedEx again and the rep said that she could not help me, I had to pick up the package by myself,
because the manager at FedEx station decided not to deliver my package.

Fedex always SUX
by seriousjohnson ,Aug 22 '05
Pros: NONE Cons: Expensive, not reliable.
Never use Fedex if you absolutely have to get it there. I have used overnight, second day, ground. The tracking service sucks. I've seen my tracking number say that the package was on the truck and out for delivery. The next day they changed it to say it was shipped two days later than it actually was and moved the delivery date up three days. Emailing them gets you nowhere. Use any other service except Fedex. How can it be on the truck out for delivery and the next day not even be in my state????? They suck!!!!! They lie, they change the status to suit themselves.

What can I say about fedex?
by tabbithy ,Oct 08 '05
Pros: drivers are usually pretty nice, when you actually see one of them.... ... ..... Cons: their tracking is almost always wrong and they never deliver when they say they will.
I have never had this much trouble with UPS, Their online tracking system is almost always wrong, packages show up only when they want to deliver. But I can say this if your package actually arrives and you are actually there to get it, the drivers have been really nice....

FedEx...slower than pony express.
by neecer ,Dec 15 '05
Pros: Nothing was broken in my packages. Cons: slow deliver, puts things in rain and snow unprotected.
My latest shipment of inventory for my home business rode around on a fedex truck for 5 days before it was delivered to me. All this time, their website kept telling me each night "Local weather delay, delivery attempted." Oddly enough, UPS delivered 3 of those days with NO PROBLEMS!!!
FedEx is always late. Once, I had a shipment of inventory sent from the same place on the same day. one came by UPS, the other by FedEx. I received UPS (with a great smile and conversation w/ my driver) on Friday at noon. I received FedEx the following Wednesday at 7:30pm.
So, in our business operations, if a company will only use FedEx to ship, we buy elsewhere. It's not worth the headache of never knowing if their drivers will feel like getting to your house that night or not.

FedEx 2day air only takes SEVEN DAYS
by horatio324 ,Aug 30 '05
Pros: Cool name. Cons: Umm, they DONT deliver.
I recently purchased an item online from circuit city; living about 100 miles from the closest one, I shop a bit online. I PAID FOR FedEx 2day delivery. I RECEIVED the package SEVEN days later. I called on day 5 and asked, "Where's my package?" and they said, "Oh we sorry - it got bumped to another truck". On day 6 THEY called and said, "Our driver is lost - can you give us directions?" Ack. Then it finally got here on day SEVEN. This is FALSE ADVERTISING from FedEx or Circuit City, or both, that they can get anything to you when they say they will. This has been my fourth, and LAST experience with FedEx, as the other three times were just as much as a cluster as this one was. May their stock fall and they get 4 flat tires! Ahhhhhhhh!

Problems Both Ways.
by joehyper ,Oct 06 '07
Pros: Usually get the job done. Cons: Don't take care of their mistakes promptly or at all.
It has been two months since FedEx made a phantom delivery to our house. At the supposed time of delivery, we were home, and the doorbell didn't ring and the dog didn't bark.
FedEx denied a claim from the shipper. So here I sit in Limbo waiting for the shipper to process my claim.
We had trouble with FedEx before. They misdelivered a package we sent. At least that time, they found it after three weeks.

Fed Ex Is The Absolute Worst
by truthbetold2 ,Jan 25 '06
Pros: None. Cons: Lazy, rude, incompetent, inconvenient and simply do not give a damn about addressees.
First, they left an illegible slip. You cannot read the addressee. Secondly, they wrote down the wrong tracking number (They inserted extra numbers). Other numbers within the tracking number were illegible on the slip. It took me 20 minutes dealing with a hellish computer activated phone response system before somehow managing to get through to a rude human being.
I had asked the seller to send the package to arrive next Monday, explaining that that is the only day that I can and will possibly be home to sign for the package. Fed Ex made the first delivery attempt today, which is Wednesday. I asked and they will not delivery the package on Monday. They insist on making failed deliveries tomorrow and Friday -- although they know this is pointless -- and then sending the item back to the seller who is on the other side of the continent. Also, they will not let me drive to a Fed Ex location and pick up the package. At least with UPS, lame as it is, you can drive to some obscure UPS branch and wait in line to pick up your item.

FedEx needs better Maps or drivers that can read
by hglintner ,May 15 '05
Pros: Can't think of any that benefit me. Cons: drivers who appear not to care much about the customer.
I an completely bewildered how my packages on numerous occasions on the other side of the county. I watch the tracking from point of origin till it get to local terminal and think ok tomorrow I get my package but no the next day comes and no package I check tracking only to find the package was sent to another town. And now it will take 2 more days to come back Can't these guys read a simple label or maybe they have no idea where they are. and then the driver my or may not leave it at my door. Causing me to drive to their terminal 15 miles away. But what is really disturbing is this happens quite often. well no more when I need something shipped I will insist the don't use Fed Ex.
