Pros: Cheaper than the USPS in most cases, great customer service. Cons: Not all drop off sites or service centers have great hours.
Let's face it, email is nice but you cant exactly cram things through your internet connection. When it comes time to box up items to ship off to other parts of the United States most people head to the United States Post Office...

Pros: Fast delivery times in my area, most of the time. Cons: Use third-party contractors to actually deliver packages.
It is true that in life we remember the bad about a person, company, or event long after weve forgotten the good that has passed before it. My experiences with FedEx Express Ground shipping had been flawless up to about three weeks ago, and ...

Pros: Great name and Reputation Cons: Poor claims response, Lack of Customer Care
In December 2000 my company switched from UPS to Federal Express for its ground service. The reason why my firm decided to go with Federal Express was due to the fact that Federal Express provided my firm with software that made setting ship dates...

Pros: Online tracking information, professional phone customer service, packages handled well (when they are delivered!) Cons: Deliveries to incorrect address, delays in delivery
Over last several years, I ordered myriad things online. While it may be a fun and neat experience to *shop* online, it may not be such a fun experience actually waiting and trying to *receive* what you've just ordered, being at the mercy of the several ...

Pros: Well, they DO have a Tracing Department Cons: They need it.
In 1980, some friends decided to move to Victoria, BC, from Los Angeles. In order to get a permit to live in Canada as landed residents, however, they needed to own property in Canada. So they found the perfect property, a few acres with a ...

Pros: Nice drivers, work hard to please you Cons: Need work in the art of package handling
While I find the "big brown parcel service" to be bad, I find RPS to be only marginally better. RPS is not my carrier of choice, but when it all comes down to it, they do usually pull through.
The saving grace for RPS, in my...

Pros: The name. Cons: Everything.
As some of you know, I work as a shipping clerk. I recently wrote a review about UPS, and now I will give you the flip side of the coin.
FedEx bought RPS(Roadway Packaging Systems)so they could compete with UPS for ground service. It's too...

Pros: They deliver until 8pm local time. 24 hr customer service # Cons: Poor customer service. The 24 hour phone line is only for EXPRESS packages!
Microsoft is notorious for releasing software and the having to patch it with a service pack a few months later. FedEx better start working on service pack one (SP1) for their ground service, they have some serious "bugs" to fix.
The...

Pros: good prices Cons: hey, you didn't really want that package to get there, did ya?
The RPS guy used to drive up to my office door in his big white truck and flash a big white grin as he carried my packages off into the sunset.
He always said "Hi!" but breezed by too quickly for chatting, not like the UPS driver who...

Pros: Free shipping for online shopping, comes to my home, friendly drivers Cons: Slow delivery time, packages ruined by being left outside
Many different shipping carriers have delivered to our home, most recently Fedex Ground. Ordering online and choosing the free shipping method, I end up with Fedex Ground in most cases! Why is it free? Probably because it is the cheapest option for the ...

Pros: Um...they deliver? Maybe? Cons: Nearly everything else
I have finally reached my limits with FedEx Ground service. I have never used them myself to ship anything, but unfortunately, those I buy from do. I have taken to requesting that the vendors use another carrier if at all possible.
I used to...

Pros: ..Gotta be kidding me right? Cons: Nope, they are DEADLY serious....
Quoted from website: FedEx Home Delivery service - the only one of its kind dedicated to residential customers - now connects to virtually every home in the US. What makes this service special is its residential-only delivery network, the ...

Pros: Cheap dollar amount on the shipping. Cons: Impossible claims. Tracking is not real-time.
UPDATE: FEDEX CLAIMS will only give this phone number (which is never answered) 877.339.2774 when you inquire about DECLARED VALUE. The number goes to a black hole, technology group. I called the number and it was never answered. I was supposed to tell ...

Pros: The operators that you talk to when you call 1.800.GoFedEx are pleasant and helpful. Cons: The FedEx Claims department is a black hole.
I am currently in the thick of a similar situation with FedEx Ground and will never use them again unless they successfully solve my problem. It sure feels like this is a game of wills and is incredibly frustrating, not to mention goes against the grain ...
