Pros: Speedy delivery with prices a bit less than Same Day Cons: Expensive but ya get what you pay for.
There are a few times a year in our business when we need items to be deliver to us pronto. Generally it's a client who suddenly decides they must see a proof of an custom article we put together for them. This generally happens when there's a planner ...
Pros: MAIL RECEIVED BY 10:00 A.M. THE FOLLOWING DAY! Cons: YOUR IDEA AND UPS' IDEA OF TODAY MAY DIFFER!
I use UPS, daily, in my corporation, with great success. The people who drive and deliver are friendly and helpful. I really appreciate smiling faces, since I own a retail store! I worked with UPS at Christmas time, part time, to allow myself extra...
After reading negative experiences others have had with UPS, I feel the need to give a different perspective- and no, I do NOT work for them. All of my interactions with UPS have been reasonable, if not positive. When searching for options to get...
Pros: relatively inexpensive compared to fedex Cons: Unreliable, late, incompetent
I order a lot of things on line and therefore have had the entire range of delivery companies delivering to my door. UPS is by far the worst and fail to deliver first/second attempt 80% of the time (I normally receive 2-3 deliveries a week). The best...
Pros: early (when it works) Cons: Doesn't always arrive on time
UPS Next Day Air Early A.M. is comparable to FedEx's First Overnight delivery service. The idea is that you can send a package to any major cities in the U.S. and it will be delivered by 8:00 a.m. the next day.
I own a business and order stuff from various companies and my deliveries are always in before noon, prior to me closing the office for lunch. My driver has been in this area for the last six to seven years and he is like clock work. UPS in my opinion...
Pros: They had a close parcel drop off point Cons: Inability to deliver on time, or issue the correct refund
While working out of town, my wife's grandfather passed away. My company refused to pay for a ticket home for the funeral (which is still a source of annoyance), but a family member works for an airline, and was able to get me a voucher-ticket. The...
Pros: Oldest firm around Cons: Inflexible, bad PR, inable to adapt.
Thought it was a good deal, maybe fine for delievery, pickup & maybe dropoff. I chose it since it been around, oldest firm I know doing this.
Weve been using UPS for seeking loan applications etc & its been a trail of errors, first I did my...
Pros: UPS Service, Fair Price, On-Time delivery Cons: Must use UPS packages, not your own
I have used UPS Next Day Air (Early AM service) for court documents and such, that MUST arrive by the early morning, not that same afternoon. While, there is a sizable price increase (from the Next Day Air Saver service) I've yet to have a late delivered...
Pros: Less Expensive Than FedEx First Overnight - Cons: None
I actually have sent several packages via UPS Next Day Air Early AM. In fact, one to Connecticut and one to Miami. UPS Early AM commit time varies depending on location. My one to Miami was guarantted by 8 AM and my one to Connecticut was guaranteed by 9 AM. I also sent one a while ago to New York where it was guaranteed by 8:30 AM.
The service worked very well and the tracking kept me up to date on the status of my shipment.
Can't start a "tracer" until it is lost for at least a day by bgould_comcast ,Dec 03 '08
Pros: Store is close by. Cons: Expensive, rude, unreliable.
UPS failed to deliver a single key to my daughter by the next day. I paid for early AM delivery. So when I called 5 hours after the delivery was promised (and the web tracking said it would be delivered on-time -- 5 hours after it was due), I was told that they couldn't find it and it certainly wasn't where it was supposed to be.
The person from the depot said that I should request a "tracer" to see if it could be found. WHen I called about that, I was told that I cannot get a "tracer" until the object has been missing at least 24 hours.
Did they expect it to find itself? I admit that I have never been satisfied by UPS, but the location is "convenient." However, this was the last straw and it will be FedEx from now on.
