A disk drive to love.

Pros: Easy setup. Inexpensive. Multi-platform. Small. FAST. Quick delivery. Stackable.
Cons: Horizontal only, in supplied case. No power switch.
There isn't much to dislike with this product. I held off buying a firewire drive for a while, waiting for the price to come down from the initial offerings. I purchased a LaCie 10 GB USB drive last year, which I finally consumed, so it was time to buy...

Maxtor 80GB external Firewire drive

Pros: Small case, fast, quiet, hot swappable, stackable
Cons: None
I have two of these now and use them daily. The first one I purchased failed after about three months. Maxtor replaced it with absolutely no hassle shipping a new unit fedex overnight immediately. The replacement was updated to the current production...
