Pros: Very easy to learn to use Cons: many programmers have ignored the system
If my fiance reads this Epinion I will never hear the end of this. I am a dedicated PC user and I have always referred to his beloved little blue iMac as "the machine".
However.... someone downloaded something on my PC that...

Pros: compact size, good speed Cons: mouse
I like the iMac. I like it because it is a simple system, easy to setup and easy to use. Some people complain about the iMac being an all-in-one system, but I think that is one of its strengths. Easy to move around, if something breaks on a 2 part PC...

Pros: fast, cheap, colors, small, quality hardware Cons: everyone doesn't have one yet
Over the last couple of years, Apple has really shown why they are the best at what they do. Don't worry, I am not going to use this opinion to evangelize about Apple (although I could), but instead I am going to focus on the iMac.
Apple set...

Pros: inexpensive, easy to use, well designed Cons: Cheaply made, breaks down after warranty expires, very expensive to fix
I a writing to warn anyone who is considering buying an iMac to make sure they buy the extended warranty. Recently, my iMac was having trouble booting up. So I took it to my local service provider for repairs. The next day, the repair company called back...

Pros: It's pretty Cons: Almost everything else
When I purchased the iMac computer (in strawberry), it was directly after my OLD Mac had gone completely dead on me. My parents, being totally computer illiterate, suggested an iMac. I, being 2 years younger than I am now, agreed.
I know now...

Pros: Great style, easy to learn interface Cons: Freezing and Crashing problems
I have had mixed emotions about my iMac ever since getting it for a Christmas present last year. It was a rather stylish computer, with a cool and easy to use interface, but I have also encountered some serious problems with it.
Good...

Pros: customizable, fair amount of memory, great for Net-Surfing, good for graphic arts work, file encryption, DVD capabilities Cons: only about 5-15% of programs run with it
I am totally in love with the iMac.
Who can't be? You get a great computer -- WITH DVD player if you get the DVD variant -- with a lot of memory and is great for web-sliding (new term for "netsurfing") and great for graphic arts...

Pros: Extremely compact, speed, usability. Cons: I find 6 gigs to be small, disturbed militant PC users like to shoot them.
I have been a hardcore Macintosh user since the age of say 5. I am now 19, and for college, I recieved a 333Mhz iMac. Let me tell you, when I tore open that box, I had the biggest grin on my face. Not just because I was getting a new computer,...

Pros: Fast, Easy to Use, Software Cons: No built-in CD-R/CD-RW
I am using an iMac DV right now. NOTE: I don't know whatever iMac that you've seen but this is how mine is.
Speed
The iMac is faster even when it's "slower". Like I bought this iMac, and then a week later my dad bought an eTower...

Pros: looks cool, good for graphics Cons: no disk, hard for dummies like me
I must qualify this entire review with the disclaimer: I am a layman when it comes to computers. I only know the basics, but in such a position, I feel qualified to talk about the imac.
We have one in the office where I work. Apart from being...

Pros: Good screen resolution and CD drive Cons: no floppy drive
Ever since I got my iMac, I've noticed many differences between it, and other computers I've used. For one thing, the monitor quality is excellent. I was using my old computer, a Performa 630, the other day, and I found myself having to squint at the...

Pros: Funny to watch other people use it, interesting colors... Cons: everything. a real stinker
I really cant understand why these vile creations have been so popular. The colors? I think its the colors. That, and the fact that the case is so imaginative. But thats about it. I dont know about you, but I buy a computer to use it, not to look at the...

Pros: Cheap, easy to setup, stylish Cons: Still limited software and hardware choices
First off, I've never been a HUGE fan of Macs, even though I worked at Apple and I've owned plenty of their machines. They never seemed fast enough, they cost a good deal more than their PC counterparts and upgrading was always a hassle due to limited...

Pros: user-friendly, easy access to internet Cons: no built in disk drive
I wanted a computer that would cater to my needs, plain and simple!
The iMac is a computer that is designed for Internet use, as well as many other things... such as graphics, word processing, etc. I feel that there are no sacrifices...

Pros: Smaller than a mainframe Cons: Too many to list
Hi All,
Shooting an iMac, and a Beanie Baby. You forgot one thing. You should have added a Pokemon toy or card. iMacs are only around at all, because Bill Gates bailed out Apple by giving them a few hundred million.
Just another attempt by...
