Pros: easy set up Cons: No Floppy drive
How do you get technophobes to buy your computer? Apples answer - the iMac and a bad ad campaign, 'Let's not tell the public anything about this computer that they should buy, but give them a choice in goofy colors and they'll buy it up'. Mine is...

Pros: Set up is quick and easy, but then the iMac goes downhill rapidly Cons: Operating system is way past its prime. Re-booting takes place at least once a session
There are several reasons I purchased my iMac 266 nearly a year ago. A decade ago I had a Mac and liked it. I began in "Computering" with an TRS 80, then upgraded to an Apple II, thus not a total neophyte. In retrospect I believe now that I...

Pros: easy navigation, doesn't take up much space Cons: getting used to the size/shape of keyboard and mouse takes some time
We were PC people until my son's school provided an iMac for us to use at home. While it IS a cute computer, and looks good whereever we put it, it takes a while to get used to the feel. The mouse is not comfortable at first and takes a while to get used...

Pros: quality, price, easy of use Cons: tech support, small screen(I think 17'' would be a huge plus)
Yes, I am proud owner of iMac myself... I've bought one in August of 1998, the first edition, for my youngest brother and my mom. My mother is not what one will call a computer wiz, moreover she did not want to spent a lot of time on PC, all she ever...

Pros: Ease of use, powerful, fast, inexpensive Cons: Reset button in poor location
First - A little history on me - I began using computers in the early 80's when the IBM PCjr came out, worked on PCs and Apples in high school...Went to college and was a computer science major for 1 1/2 years...never was interested in Apples – in fact,...

Pros: quickness, easy to learn, colorful Cons: somewhat unprofessional, separate floppy disk drive
I must say that Apple has finally brought into production a working product for most traditionally PC users. Most businesses and schools (though I don't know why) buy Apple computers even though most people use PCs at home. The iMAC actually works...

Pros: Fast! Easy set up Cons: choose additional hardware carefully
This is my first attempt at Epinions. So go easy on me.
I come from a family of mac users and any of the real computer "nerds" I know are into macs.
I was tired of the slow processor in my older mac so, I took the big...

Pros: Many colors to attract the occasional computer user, good for the same people. Cons: The OS, the wonderful architecture that isn't being used properly, erroneous USB ports.
Why do Macs perform better than their Intel/Intel clone counterparts? Because the Macs use an architecture called RISC, Reduced Instruction Set Chip, making any instruction perform a bit faster. This may seem like a trivial amount, but each instruction...

Pros: Easy to setup, compact, good operating system. Cons: Upgrading is hard, adding drives/devices requires using external versions which are slower and clutter desk space.
If I had an iMac the first thing I would do is gut it, seal it up, and fill it with fish (yes, I would put water in for the fish, that's why I'd seal it). But, not everybody is like me (LaurenMarie is frighteningly similar).
So I now have the...

Pros: easy to use, fast, and quiet Cons: small mouse and keyboard, crashes/freezes very frequently
Upon starting college I decided it was time for a new computer, one that was fast and would suit all my college needs. I decided upon an iMac because of the price, and reviews I had read about it.
There are some definite pro's and con's about...

Pros: Cute industrial design. Set it up in minutes Cons: More expensive and less stable than equivalent PCs.
Some disclaimers. I have a PC at work and home. I use Win2000 and Win98 heavily. Now about the iMac. I bought my wife an iMac about a year ago (She's never used anything other than a MAC and I thought the iMAC would a good choice to upgrade her from her...

Pros: Power, Price, Small, It's a Mac! Cons: No manual restart, can't upgrade much, kind of funky at first.
The iMac, being the consumer PC that is it, has it's share of both good and rather annoying features.
If you're a home user, like a vast majority of iMac owners, the iMac will probably be more machine that you'll need. At 333 Mhz and 32 MB...

Pros: Ease of use, value, upgradability Cons: no internal floppy drive,Ibook isn't in purple
I have now purchased my fourth Apple computer, and it just keeps getting better. While I have HAD to learn to use a PC it has never equaled the ease and simplicity of working with a MAC. The iMAC has been a great machine for the past 8 months- fast,...
