Pros: Good....For a couple months at least! Cons: Short-lived and freezes alot.
Compaq. What a cheap and affordable computer. So convienent and nice. It seems too good to be true. . . right? Well, I hate to tell you this, but it is. When I first purchased a compaq, I absolutely loved it. It was so fast and nice and everything worked...
Pros: Reliability, features, user friendliness Cons: Speed, small monitor (15 inch)
I just got the 7588. In Europe it comes with 13 GB HDD, 64 MB RAM, a DVD drive and of course the PIII 550.
The monitor is the excellent MV 520 which looks and performs superb, although a little small. A 17 inch bundle would have helped.
Pros: Good answering on their assistance line...not much of a wait...for "every call" Cons: Didn't send parts, lost prior contact information, conflicting information, non working parts
I just finished writing a complaint to the company about the Compaq Presario 7588. Within 4 days after purchase I could no long sign on the Internet. The connection was had squelches and a lot of static. I checked the phone lines and it was crystal...
Pros: Fast. Overall great computer Cons: Camera is only average and hard to learn how to use.
I purchased this computer a few months ago and thought it was a piece of garbage. I could not stand the computer. It was difficult to use and some of the programs didn't preform as I wanted them to. FInally I decided to read the owners manual and I...
Pros: easy to install and set up, inexpensive Cons: tends to freeze more than other computers
The new compaq presario 7588 is a great computer for experts and novices alike. It is easy to use, easy to set up, and comes loaded with a variety of programs, such as viruscan. The presario also comes with a Logitech camera that you can hook up and...
Pros: 7588 is fast, reliable Cons: Must have speakers w/separate power source, very little extras in software
I purchased the Compaq Presario 7588 and have enjoyed it extensively. I recommend the higher level PC's from Compaq, but discourage anyone desiring to purchase a lower end model from Compaq.
I also own a Compaq 5050, and have been immensely...
This is a relatively cheap computer. Now realize that it is not the newest gaming machine with infinite memory and storage space; it is for the consumer who wants a decent PC but does not want to put a dent in his or her wallet. It offers a Pentium III...
Pros: Speed, ease of use, ease of access Cons: kind of dull looking, kind of noisy
I just recently purchased a new Presario 1 GHz(giga-hertz) computer for college. Let me just say that it is by far and away the best investment! On Compaq's website you can configure your own to change the price and features to your liking. Mine came...
Compaq stinks - their 550 processor doesn't come close to the speed of a dell's 450. the components stink, and the modem on my computer is really really bad. It's a good idea to get a system with a lot - and i mean a lot - of ram, since it'll improve...
I have just had this computer for two weeks & I think that this computer rocks! It is definitely an improvement on my previous PC which was a Pentium 166 MHz with 32 MB Ram & 2GB hard disk space. This computer has a 500 MHZ with 64 Mb Ram &...
Computer? I don't think so. by woofercooker ,Apr 18 '05
Pros: Probably would look cool being thrown out of a 12th story window. Cons: Everything.
Avoid this computer like a horde of angry locusts. It is a complete and total piece of crap. Do you know what the blue screen of death is? Well you will if you buy this computer because it tends to pop up every time you try to do something. One good thing is it is easy to shut down. Just try to do anything and it ...shuts down. That is of course unless you want to shut down because then it freezes. It is so slow it wont even play the sims.
