Pros: potentially frees up desk space, highly adjustable Cons: sub-optimal means of adjusting, poor design quality, heavy materials used in manufacturing, could possibly destroy your desk when arm is extended.
At my place, space is at a premium, and I needed to get my nice Sony 17" monitor off of the desk, so I could place various things underneath the monitor. I also wanted something that offers a variety of positions, as well as look nice.
