Pros: Perfect image (colors, geometry, refresh rate) Cons: Quality costs you $300+ while inferior products start at $100.
Are you looking for a good 17’ monitor that will last you many years? Here at work, we buy new PCs and keep the old monitors. I am happy to report that the company buys always Sony because I am a big fan of their Trinitron technology.
Pros: Excellent image quality, flat screen, easy to use controls, high resolutions Cons: Pricey for a 17-inch, 2 thin grill lines, where's the USB?
My sister was replacing her old IBM with something new about a year ago. Her old 14" monitor wasn't bad but it was way too small. She could've got a 19" for the same price as she got the E200, but it would've taken up too much space on her desk, so a...
Pros: very easy to setup, great picture, flat display, helpful menu Cons: the menu button is in a tough spot to use on the monitor
First off I needed a monitor for my home that would be easy to use, would perform all the regular functions and would also play my DVD's at high resolution. I found the E200 at a reasonable price of $350 at the local store. I must say the picture on...
I had the choice of purchasing a Sony monitor or a Viewsonic monitor. I viewed both monitors at the same time at the same resolution on the same exact screen. What I saw amazed me. The Viewsonic appeared to be much clearer than the Sony at 3-5 feet...
Pros: Clear, Sharp, high resolution and high refresh Cons: NONE
I really thought twice about this monitor, given it's high price. I got mine for $300. Many 19 inch monitors are this price, but if you really don't need that big of a screen, this monitor would be a good idea. It can run at 1280x1024 at 81 hertz!...
Pros: Good quality and nice color Cons: more expensive than other brands
Before I bought this Sony E200/L monitor, I already tried several monitors and returned all of them. I tried Viewsonic A70, A75f, and NEC multisync 75. The problem I have with these monitors is that when it displays fine print, if the focus is off a...

Pros: Exceptionally crisp images, beautiful saturated colors, clean design Cons: "Refurbished" auction unit is distorted with bowing at top and bottom of screen
When I upgraded my old 1997 Pentium 150 to an AMD Duron 850
I also needed a nicer monitor. So I successfully bid $111 plus $62 shipping on a Sony CDP E200 from Ubid.
Unfortunately I didn't install the unit until Ubid's seven-day...
5 years and still going perfect by joemoe52 ,Oct 30 '05
Pros: Great consistent resolution on all parts of the screen. Cons: Two faint horizontal lines; but that's being REALLY picky. No big deal.
I bought this monitor in early 2001 to upgrade from a 15'. Since then I have moved 3 times, and this thing still works good as new with not the slightest hint of degradation. Clear and sharp with perfect colors from side to side and corner to corner with no distortions even at the highest resolutions. There are 2 faint horizontal lines 1/4 way from top and bottom (which disappointed me at first)but they're hardly noticeable if you don't look for them and they're not distracting at all. I'm hard pressed to think of anything this monitor doesn't do well. Even after 5 years I don't know of any newer monitor with a better combination of performance and reliability.
