Durable mouse - highly recommended
by ryter16 ,Jan 25 '04
Pros: Pretty, operates well, lasts longer, can use without mousepad
Cons: Expensive, collects dust on the bottom, cord is way too short!
This is a terrific mouse. It's very pretty (and goes well with my ibook). I've had it for about 3 weeks now and it operates perfectly! It's alot better than other mouses out there. Unlike PC mouses, this Apple mouse has no tracking ball at the bottom of it making it last longer. Usually, I need a mousepad for my other mouses, but not for this one! It works perfectly fine without one. I highly recommend this!

Just as there are pros to the Apple mouse, there are also cons. The cord is too short making it quite difficult for me to move my mouse further away from my laptop. Also, it collects dust on the bottom of the mouse (so be sure to clean your desk regularly) and when your hand gets clammy and sweaty, you can actually feel it transferring to the mouse. It's also quite expensive in comparison to other mice out there.

Looks great! Tracks terribly...
by eddyw ,Feb 14 '04
Pros: Very stylish and ergonomically designed
Cons: Horrible tracking, not very functional
I must agree with all the other reviewers on this page that the Apple Power mouse is a very attractive and ergonomically comfortable mouse. I must, however, disagree with some of the comments on how this mouse tracks. Even when set at a medium tracking speed (the lower settings are unusable unless you live in slow motion) the cursor jumps all over the screen and often won't even move when the mouse is moved. I've tried using it on many different surfaces, but to no avail. In addition, although simplicity is nice, the fact that this mouse is essentially one button with no scroll capabilities, means that functionality is traded for good looks.
