Pros: Doesn't need to be cleaned as much, light, plenty of buttons Cons: Bulky, expensive, it broke for no reason
I purchased a MS Intellimouse Explorer about a year ago from BestBuy to replace the hockey puck on my rev. D iMac. I had a hard time forking out over $80 for a mouse, but I thought it would be worth it to get a mouse with 5 buttons and a scroll wheel....

Pros: Accurate, Durable, No Moving Parts, Lighter, 5 Buttons, Smooth Scroll Wheel, Wow factor of a cool new gadget, Damn smooth, Works on more surfaces than a normal mouse, Slick look Cons: Goes nuts on certain surfaces, Some gamers complain (I think they just do not know about changing their mouse sensitivity), Slick look =p
Microsoft did not invent a better mousetrap, instead they actually invented a better mouse. Mice are something that seem to be an afterthought: most people don't know what kind they have, aren't concerned about it, and rarely, if ever, actually clean...

Pros: No ball, sleek look, great feel Cons: A bit pricy
We all have fond memories of when we first became familiar, with that alien object known simply as..."the computer"...and even more inevitably we grabbed that unique navigator known as..."the mouse"...and removed it's plastic...

Pros: The latest in technology, Optical DSP, multiple programmable buttons, USB and PS/2, looks awesome! Cons: For the retail price, this mouse ought to do your work for you.
I wanted one of these ever since they came out, but there was no way I could justify the $70 price tag for a mouse. I mean, come on. Well, eventually the price slid down a bit to where you can find these online for $50. I bought mine from buy.com (at...

Pros: The wheel Cons: Doesn't work for lefties
The Intellimouse with its little wheel and all those super things you can do with it is a real advance in mouse technology. I have to admit I don't use most of those features, but simply having an extra button and wheel available is great for games and...

Pros: Track on virtually any surface, USB with a PS/2 adapter, all 5 buttons can be programmed, easy cleaning Cons: For right-handed people only (if you're left-handed, check out Microsoft's other optical mice)
After using the IntelliMouse Explorer on a friend's computer, I just had to buy one for myself. It has no trouble tracking on a tabletop, mousepad, the wall, your jeans, or even your own arm. My previous mouse was the IntelliMouse, and on another...

Pros: Looks cool, accurate, new buttons, excellent configuration, USB and PS/2 ready, should last longer Cons: A little more expensive, more friction between mouse and desk, feels a little cheap
There was a funny e-mail going around about ten years ago (and I bet it still lives on - it just hasn't crossed my computer in a while) from an IBM technician on the subject of mouse balls. You can probably figure out the gist.
That e-mail...

Pros: Ergonomic design, forward-back buttons Cons: Styled more for right-handed folks.
I've had the Microsoft Intellimouse Explorer for almost a year now and I don't know how I've ever lived without it. I say that because I'm an incredible web-addict. I'm constantly online perusing pages and this mouse makes web-surfing a joy to...

Pros: 5 *completely* programmable buttons, silky soft buttons and scroll wheel, ergonomic design, sleek design, no mouse ball to clean, compatible with my Mac Cons: optical tracking is maybe too sensitive, a bit pricey
First, I have a Mac. Mac users used to be limited in what they could use for a mouse: namely a one-button mouse from Apple. "Times they are a changin'." My PowerMac G3 B/W has USB inputs for the mouse and keyboard. I have tendinitis and...

Pros: 5 buttons, wheel, no ball to clean, seamless movement, SILVER WITH A COOL GLOWING RED LIGHT! Cons: Game software not up to date in being able to use the 2 side buttons
Before I go into detail ABOUT the product let me tell you my reaction first hand. I wasn't even looking for a new mouse or looking for anything for that matter. Then I saw it sitting on a shelf at a local computer store. First thing that caught my eye...

Pros: Accurate, Smooth, and Sexy Cons: Price, must use good mousepad, and not good for lefties or people with small hands
After using traditional mice for years I must say, I have never used a better mouse ever. This mouse is so accurate. I use Raydream and Photoshop and this mouse is an absolute godsend for the airbrush in Photoshop and the rotating of objects in...

Pros: Innovative Optical pick-up; Looks Cool; Great Warranty from Microsoft. Cons: Too Big for some Hands; Only good for Right-handed users; Fragile; Average Quality Build; Expensive.
Microsoft always makes people love and hate it - Monopoly and strong-arm tactics crush its competitors but it does invest a lot and revolutionize how people use PC day after day. When I first heard the words about the silver UFO-alike IntelliMouse...

Pros: Priced Right and A Real Pleasure to Use Cons: None That I Have Found
A little background is in order here. I'm 61 years old and decided, a few years ago, that I needed to catch up with this computerized world that we inhabit. So off the the local Community College to get some education.
What does that have to...

Pros: Works on almost any surface; insanely precise; good shape. Cons: Price a bit high.
Notebook computer pointing devices—touchpads and those eraser-lookin’ pointing nubs—work fine when there’s nothing else around. And, ever since I started using notebooks—especially away from the office—those are really all I had. Carrying a mouse...

Pros: Very smooth arrow movement, easy as pie setup, nice features and design Cons: Expensive for just a mouse
I'm astounded. Microsoft making a GOOD product for a change? Maybe that anti-trust break up might be a bad idea. But that's neither here nor there. Seriously though before the IntelliMouse Explorer was being shipped I had saw a few reviews of it in a...
