Over-Priced + Under-Powered

by davidluvs , Jun 20 '01
Pros: None
Cons: DVD + Battery Problems?, Over-priced, under-powered, slow Windows-emulation
More than a few people have reported problems with the DVD drive + battery at www.macintouch.com. Judge for yourself.

The "mac os x" is an ungodly abomination pretending to be a graphical "user" interface. For example, without limitation,...

Stop thinking with your gadget-lusting dingy, and use your head!

by sfainer , Nov 22 '01
Pros: Fast boot, Thin and sexy, Opens Photoshop quicklike, S-video out for DVD
Cons: Nothing fun included, keyboard loose and small, Speakers suck, titanium gets hot!
To begin I must introduce myself as an avid PC user up until six months ago when I began a new job where the small network was all-Mac, all the time. I worked the best angle I could and managed to convince the higher-ups that I needed a G4 Titanium....

Damn I love this computer

by bskelton , Dec 31 '02
Pros: Fast, Beautiful Looking, Great Screen, Awesome Networking, 1GHz Powerhouse
Cons: You have to treat it with care
This is my first mac I have owned. I have always held out on buying a PowerBook because of the reviews saying that the hinges are bad, the paint flakes off, etc. I fooled around with a friend's iBook for a while and was going to buy an iBook as they are...

Great Portable Electronic Style

by motomille , Mar 28 '03
Pros: Sexy, light, 16:9, thin, firewire, MacOS, VGA
Cons: Fragile, Hot, no DVI
I personally use this machine professionally. I design on it, plug it into a VGA monitor and use both screens. I contract quite a bit so I take it everywhere. It is fragile though... I've cracked the housing but it hasn't affected it in any way. I...

Pretty damn cool

by fursty , Mar 05 '02
Pros: Cool look, thin, wide screen
Cons: Heavy, somewhat unstable, bad rear design
I got this bad boy for work and I'm enjoying quite a bit, thank you.
This is one cool-looking, well-designed machine. It is great for dvd's and generally is an eye-catcher. It is very fast for my low-tech computing needs. It runs very fast and...

I will never buy another Apple Product

by c0sborne , May 07 '01
Pros: It looks cool
Cons: No CD-RW, no Floppy drive, Horrible Quality and even worse tech support and Customer Relations
I had been a diehard Mac user (actually Power Computing - a MAC clone) since 1994, but my ordeal with this computer has finally driven me as far away from Apple as I can get. My PowerBook G4 worked for only one day, then the screen began to flicker out....

Best Powerbook Ever!

by adobephile , May 30 '01
Pros: Fully as fast and powerful as desktop, quiet, reliable, large screen, beautiful modern design.
Cons: No sound in jack, small speakers have limited sound quality.
I've used only Macs since 1984. This is my first portable, and, though it would have been nice to have earlier models, I'm glad I waited for this one. It's by far the best looking one. And it's the most powerful with the largest screen ever.

The Laptop With Power

by jackiegirl , May 11 '01
Pros: An absolutely amazing computer, runs smoothly, is lightweight, and very portable
Cons: It is rather expensive at 2,500, but I suppose it is worth it.
Well, the moment I received this piece of work, I knew it was for me. When I opened the box, everything was in place and ready, the cables, pre-loaded software, easy-to-read manuals, ect. The laptop worked perfectly right out of the box and a nice, easy...

The Apple Titanium Laptop is excellent. It comes preinstalled with the new OS X as well as system 9. This laptop really flies. Out of the box it is ready for the internet via ethernet or modem. It has two USB ports, as well as two firewire ports....

by stirling , Jan 23 '02
Pros: Light, Good-looking, Powerful, Fast & its a Mac!
Cons: none
The Mac TiBook is an awesome system for a decent price. It is well-built, durable and powerful. Even the first 400mhz G4 thrashes a much higher rated Pentium. Out of the box it comes with battery, power adapter and everything you need to get up and...

Mac PowerBook G4 for a college student

by ashleyo , Sep 29 '01
Pros: Big screen and keyboard. Very thin and light. Very sleek and sophisticated.
Cons: Some problems with using OS X and OS 9.1 at the same time.
I bought my Macintosh PowerBook G4 two weeks ago to use at college. So far I really enjoy working on it. It has a large screen and the keyboard is bigger and easier to use than many other laptops. There are many applications that come with it and it is...

by arthurian , Nov 09 '01
Pros: Looks good, Efficient Industrial Design, Beautiful Monitor, Easy to use Keyboard
Cons: Heat Generated is in SUE or TORT proportions to McDonalds Coffee
Much of many peoples lives revolve around style. Style this is and style you will pay for. I bought one of these fantastic units. Yes as a self dignified slave to technology fashion I got it the month it came out.

I enjoy this Powerbook....

Pros: Very Thin, great Looks, nice features
Cons: Does not have windows, and a bit expensive
I recently purchased the new Apple Titanium PowerBook G4, and all I can say is that I love it. I tried it at my friend's house, and she convinced me into buying it. At first I was extremely hesitant because I flat out do not like Mac computers. When I...

The best computer ever

by jmcoller , Feb 03 '02
Pros: Lightweight, sleek, cool looking, huge screen, tons of power
Cons: Gets very hot.
I have owned my powerbook now for six months. It is the fourth apple I have owned and I am still hooked. Apple has out done themselves with the Ti G4. Its screen is huge, the keyboard full sized, and the battery long-lived (but not long enough to...

This is the best laptop available. Period.

It is thin, fast, well-appointed. The infrared port makes hotsyncing with a Palm-powered PDA a simple and quick task. Airport capability allows use anywhere within range of the Airport device, and...
