Pros: Solid Keyboard. Excellent Display. 1024x768. 5+hr battery life. 4.9lbs. Cons: Outside easily smudges/scratches.
I wanted to add my personal experiences to this growing list of feedback on the new iBooks. I think I have a unique perspective, having been an Apple employee from 1992 to 2000, I watched the portable experience, from 'the inside', go through valleys and...

Pros: Ultra-small, nice extra features, fantastic screen, looks cool. Cons: Finish shows fingerprints, takes a while to charge, no handle.
You can tell the comments about the 'girly' nature of the original iBook really got to the industrial design team at Apple. Or maybe they didn't; even though they are from completely different design philosophies, the old and new iBooks look like cousins...

Pros: Small, good OS Cons: it is plastic
The only thing that I think are wrong with the new iBook is that it is made out of plastic and what is it 500mhz
right? Well for your money I think the iBook is perfect investment.
It also has cool games like Bugdom and Cro Mag Rally....

Pros: 4.9 lbs, CD burner, friendly trackpad, extremely durable, very compact, 500 Mhz G3 Cons: No light for nighttime writing
When you first open the briefcase-sized box the new iBook comes in, you're in awe. Apple is known for its packing with unique designs. The color. That's what hits you first. Smooth, durable, milky white. It's smooth on all edges, aerodynamic and...

Pros: Compact, elegant, nice screen, bargain price, full featured, good battery life Cons: No audio in
The iBook is small. You won't believe how small it is until you start to use it, and afterwards, other computers will seem as clunky and noisy as steam powered locomotives.
On the outside, it's white, a little rubbery and shiny, and slightly...

Pros: Fast processor, tons of ram, great looks, nice software bundle! Cons: Cheezy keyboard, not as durible as earlier ibooks, many printing problems!
I've been around computers all of life, and so far this is the best consumer laptop I've ever used! In my house we have six computers, both windows and Mac and my iBook smokes my mom and dads Toshibas, Compaqs, and Gateways! It's also a lot faster than...

Pros: Sleek, light, cool, good battery life, sharp screen, great snoozer Cons: trackpad jumps a little
This is my favorite Mac ever (so far). I have used Macs since the '80's and just love this one. I use PCs at work and have used PCs since the late '80's, but Macs are so much cooler.
If you don't like small type, you might have a problem with...

Pros: Fast, expandable, lightweight, mobile, affordable and stylish Cons: F12/Eject key not too responsive.
As a pro-user, I tend to sneer at consumer products and refuse to settle for anything less than the best. The old iBook was no exception. I never took the original iBook seriously. The fruit colors and lack of substance to me was just weak and tacky and...

Pros: Portable networking, excellent multi-media tool and very sexy! Cons: Screen too small. Memory upgrades etc bit pricey.
Theres no getting away from the cuteness of this little machine, but you have to oversee it's slight imperfections to love it. It ain't got much memory but once you beef it up with extra RAM you are all the bash, there is no stopping you and the pure...

Pros: Gorgeously stylish, petite & light. Great warranty! Cons: Not so comfortable for extended use, expensive Apple peripherals.
White iBook, 256 RAM DVD 10G HD OS 9.1
Everything about this machine is aesthetically pleasing. Even the box it comes in. The styrofoam packing was even beautifully shaped to hold the ibook, OSX, yo yo adapter, & small instruction booklets. Even a...

Pros: works perfectly, lightweight, cheap, fast Cons: needlessly slow bus, gets really hot
I'm going to go to college next year, so this is the laptop that I got. I did a lot of research, and I believe that it is the most sensible choice. There's no question that it is the most economical Mac laptop, and I think it is about equal to a Windows...

Pros: Fun to use. Great for digital video, music, and internet. Cons: Costs a bit more than a PC laptop.
I had never purchased an Apple before and have previously used mostly unix and pc machines. I bought the new iBook to do video editing for movies of my daughter, to make music cd's, and to browse the internet. All of these things are done exceptionally...

Pros: Great design, fast speed, beautiful display Cons: Battery life is less than Apple's claim
First off, I have to say I LOVE MY NEW iBOOK SE! The design is gorgeous, the spring loaded handle is very cool, and the clam shell closure design is just so neat (there are no latches to fuss with, no edges to catch on anything...). Set-up couldn't have...
