Pros: Fast and incredible attention to design details Cons: Video out is composite NTSC, not VGA.
The new (Fall, 2000) iBook SE (FireWire) makes a superb traveling companion for the Mac lover or anyone who wants a reliable, easy to use, powerful and fast portable computer. It's a snap to get it on the Internet, and the optional ($99) AirPort wireless...

Pros: Fast, durable, easy to use, and the competitive price. Cons: Limited software and too many external peripherals (i.e. floppy drive and USB hub... only 1 USB port in the ibook).
When I first began my search of laptops I stumbled upon the new arrival of the Apple ibook. I was still young and did not know much about computers but for some reason I just had to get one of these. I am a student and desperately needed a laptop....

Pros: Mac computer, compact, video editing, ton of ports, light weight, easy to use. Cons: Hot spot in screen, comes with only finger mouse, needs better speakers
People say that computers are for people who don't have anything else to do with there time. Boy are they wrong. Since apple started with the origanal Ibook, great things have started happening to apple.
Getting this labtop means that you...

Pros: Small, good OS Cons: it is plastic
The only thing that I think are wrong with the new iBook is that it is made out of plastic and what is it 500mhz
right? Well for your money I think the iBook is perfect investment.
It also has cool games like Bugdom and Cro Mag Rally....

Pros: Fast enough for me, looks cool, rarely crashes, it's a Mac! Cons: LOUD, limited out/inputs, kind of big and heavy, small HD.
I knew what I was getting into when I bought this computer in December '99 so my complaints of limited HD space, inputs/outputs, and the size and weight were not exactly surprises to me (I do wish I had bought the orange instead of blueberry- mea culpa)....

Pros: Nice design and tactile feel, sturdy, handle for portability Cons: loud CD-ROM drive, pricey
Being an avid Mac user and having the need for portability I decided upon the iBook as my choice of laptop. There are plenty of laptops available but I didn't need anything super fast nor did I want something in its traditional "formal" wear....

Pros: Yummy colors, a lot of space, great for trips and at home use! Cons: I wish Windows came with it!
The Apple iBook is the greatest laptop computer I have ever used. This laptop has more space than my computer at home! I can take it outside, on trips, or just use it in the office. The price suits the item, I don't know what better way to explain...

Pros: Fun to use. Great for digital video, music, and internet. Cons: Costs a bit more than a PC laptop.
I had never purchased an Apple before and have previously used mostly unix and pc machines. I bought the new iBook to do video editing for movies of my daughter, to make music cd's, and to browse the internet. All of these things are done exceptionally...

Pros: DVD, large Hard Drive, Cute Cons: Much too heavy for its capability, slow and small screen.
I purchased an Apple iBook expecting a lot. I work in design, as obviously do my colleagues who raved on and on about the "new Apple" industry. I was recommended the iBook. I expected something fancy, but did not get it.
Sure, it's cute....

Pros: sturdy, handle, won't get lost in dark colored sand Cons: it would probably be better if it did get lost n sand
I have a considerable amount of experience with both Macs and PCs, and I
understand arguments from either camp, but I know of no one who thinks that an iBook is a good deal. First of all, the stats just aren't that good for a $1600 computer.
Plus,...

Pros: light, cute, works great Cons: needs more memory than 64 M
I just got a new iBook-- tangerine. I DO recommend getting the memory upgrade-- sad to say it, but it seems that 64 M just does not do the trick anymore. This laptop is ergonomic, light, cute as the dickens, easy to use, and the handle is WONDERFUL for...

Pros: It's beautiful. It's also fast, light, and averages 4hrs of battery life. Cons: I waited almost two months for it! (Worth every second.)
I ordered my iBook (CD-RW model) the week it was announced. After waiting for nearly two months, during which time Apple decided to make the Cd-RW models build to order, the iBook was delivered to my door.
It's wonderful. When I took it out...

Pros: Slow, freeze, no floppy drive, not compatible Cons: Cute, comfortably designed, beautiful 3D graphics
I bought the Apple ibook sometimes march this year and
unfortunately, I had to take it back and buy a HP 3250 Notebook PC instead.
I read a lot of information about ibook and thought it would be
a nice notebook to buy. However, I...

Pros: Speed, price, DVD, battery life Cons: no audio in, no security loop
The first generation of iBook was not for me.
It was not as quick as the iMac, rather expensive and relied on USB for peripherals. It looked nice, particularly in orange, and the battery lasted a long time (comparatively) but for the first time in...
