Pros: Snob Appeal Cons: Windows Based OS
I started repping a Windows based software product and needed a laptop to do client demos. I picked up a IBM ThinkPad A20m - which is the smaller cousin of the A20p - 6mb hard drive, 500 Mhz P III chipset - (and about $2,000 less than the A20p). ...

Pros: Reliable, affordable, nice to own. Cons: 64Meg is standard on bottom of range models.
As part of our business, we specify, buy, integrate and ship IBM A20 notebook computers. We started specifying IBM laptops as a result of the need for a reliable ‘workhorse’ of a computer and had previously been ‘burned’ buying Compaqs.
When...

Pros: Keyboard is the best in the industry. Screen is very sharp and bright. Cons: Quite heavy. Speakers are terrible!
I bought the ThinkPad A21M because I was tired of having an external floppy to drag around - I wanted everything built in. The disadvantage, of course, is that this machine - which is in the desktop replacement category - is not built for easy...

Pros: It is a good desktop replacement system Cons: some of the features are not well intergrated
My college requires evey student to have an IBM THINKPAD A20m (2628-41U). The laptop it self is a great one. The system is very well designed. the keyboard is set up so you can rest your hands on the base and the mouse is very acurate. IBM also...

Pros: Fully featured. No other laptop has all the bells and whistles like this. Quality. Cons: Expensive. A bit bulky. Difficult to purchase
The Good:
Features. This laptop is certainly packed with more features than any laptop on the market - any. It has S-Video IN as well as out. It has both a mono microphone IN as well as a stereo audio input. It has the biggest speakers...

Pros: Superior build quality, terrific keyboard and mouse, graphics horsepower. Cons: Slightly pricey, but you get what you pay for.
I purchased my A20p about 3 weeks ago. It has the Pentium-III @ 750 MHz, 15" TFT screen, 6X-DVD, 20 GB HDD, and 128 MB of RAM. I can say I have been very happy with the performance and overall quality of this system. My previous laptop was a...

Pros: lots of built-ins Cons: price and weight
Was looking for a powerful laptop that could replace both my current laptop and desktop computers. The A20P is the best of both with large
harddrive, lots of built-ins (modem, NIC, DVD, floppy) and 3 year warranty. Would like to find all the same...
