Sony VAIO C1X PC Notebook

Pros: Great size, nice camera addition
Cons: Slow processor, Small Hard drive, Sporadic problems

This notebook is my first attempt in entering the the ultraportable gadgets world. It leaves me with a very good first impression, but it left me more and more less impressed.

I got this notebook last summer, and i didn't bother re-installing...

Pros: small, reliable, usb, firewire, pcmcia, built in modem
Cons: very poor customer support.no sony xp drivers. no downloadable 98 drivers.

Hey folks i couldnt find out any info on anyone who had attempted an XP install on a PCG-C1X.

I decided to try it myself. Being an IT specialist I was ready to dive right in.

I was amaze when I first saw the PCG-C1XA but that was the beginning of my nightmare after I bought it two months ago.

One day, while I was adjusting the notebook for a better view, the LCD cracked, and part of my screen was filled with lines...

Pros: good in the long run.
Cons: Cost a lot to get an extra battery.

I think is is a good value for its but you can do better for a little bit larger in the long run. It is good for people who don't have a lot of space. It would be perfect for people on the run like stock brokers, accountants, and CEO's that travel a lot....
