Logitech Wingman Attack -- A Great Gaming Bargain!

by gym-378 Epinions Most Popular Authors - Top 500, Jun 15 '00
Pros: Smooth Feel, Great Cost
Cons: None So Far!
I have never been a big Logitech fan. In fact, several of the Logitech Mice that I have used have had driver problems which turned me off to the entire Logitech brand and left me with strictly Microsoft input devices.

About a year ago, I...

Great starter stick

by zap3v , Aug 24 '02
Pros: Durable, inexpensive, decent options
Cons: Not enough button for the hardcore
I got this joystick one afternoon at Best Buy. I decided I wanted to try some flight sim games on my computer. I didn't know if I'd like them, so I didn't want to buy an expensive stick or game for that matter. This one was there for 20 bucks. It looked...

No Sticky Feet :-(

by brewmaster , Oct 22 '00
Pros: smooth operation, quality construction
Cons: no sticky feet
My old joystick recently died so I asked my wife to pick up a cheap joystick next time she went shopping. She came home with the Logitech WingMan Attack. It was not the cheapest joystick at the store but she knew I liked my Logitech...

Not a bad deal for 25 BUX

by bobmp3_99 , Mar 20 '01
Pros: good design prevents strain of hand and fingers, solid base.....
Cons: Button 4 gets stuck at times, not intended for left handed users.
Not a bad deal for 25 bucks

When I was in need of a cheap and decent joystick about a year or so ago, I looked at joystick on the Internet. The reason I needed one is the fact that it is nearly impossible to land a Boeing 736-400 on...

Do You Enjoy Flying with a Jerk?

by Daystorm , Jul 27 '00
Pros: Good tactile feel, very good price, good stability
Cons: Random jerks in random directions while at rest
I've been itching to try out my new 600mhz computer in flight. A flight simulator, to be more specific. A space flight simulator, to be even more specific.

A few years ago, back when we were still dealing with pre-half gig machines, a...

DO NOT Follow directions this time!!

by tmyer , Oct 24 '00
Pros: Cost, easy to use
Cons: Don't set it up the way the directions say to
A few weeks ago I decided I was tired of my old joystick, mainly because I thought it was causing problems (later found that to be untrue, but that's another story) so I went looking for a replacement. I kind of wanted the Microsoft Sidewinder, but they...

There's Plenty of Joy in This Joystick

by teddybearteach , Feb 03 '01
Pros: Good joystick for the price.
Cons: None
As an avid Combat Flight Simulator player, I needed a good quality joystick for a low price. $18 later, I have one.

The Logitech Wingman Attack joystick has got to be the best at this price. With precision movement during gaming and none...

A great deal for the price
by gwilkinson ,Dec 13 '03
Pros: Low cost Quality Lots of buttons Good Grip
Cons: No force feedback
I searched long and hard for a joystick that fit my budget and would give me the options I wanted.

Well I am glad to say I found it in the Wing Man Attack 2. With its multi section of buttons, including a throttle control which works well in air combat games. Buttons are also programable which makes it easy to operate.

The grip feels comfortable and is made of quality plastic. I would be willing to compare it to higher priced sticks. The only thing lacking is force feedback.

There is no need to install software to set up the joystick. Just plug it into your USB plug and get ready for the gaming action!

I give it 4 out of 5 stars!

Logitech WingMan Attack 2 (963253-0403) USB Joystick.
by rboblenz ,Mar 23 '06
Pros: it's pretty and says Logitech on it...
Cons: doesn't work - arbitrarily slams to hard forward/left...
Windows XP Home : If it worked it would be great, but it doesn't so it sucks...seems ok for a while then my Attack 2 spontaneously goes to forward/left hard and then stays there... nothing I do will get it back to zero..... it is unusable....this is after I jumped through all the hoops to download and import the Logitech "profile" for F22 Raptor and F22 Lightning 3...and had to use the profiler to get the x and y axes to work at all....then this...it is useless... have tried hard more than once to hunt down the solution...i'm convinced there is no solution and it is just a piece of crap..
