Spock Would Choose The Edge!

by soeclectic , Dec 14 '01
Pros: Extra Slim, Great Modules, Sexy Look, Fits in a Pocket, High quality Feel
Cons: None
Finally Visor creates a slim unit with an ergonomic design. Flip it up and operate with one hand like a Star Trek communicator. Comes in colors but the satin silver is the way to go. Endless software downloads from Visor, Palm, Tucows. Great selection of...

Price drop/modem

by Pailaka , Nov 29 '02
Pros: Price drop . Modems are easier to carry on the road than your laptop.
Cons: Springboard modules make it too think to easily carry.
The Visor Edge gets better all the time. The recent price drop makes it a must for Christmas buying. Modems are easier and easier to use. Time to get out there, Americans. Rechargeable batteries make it easy to keep going. Infrared hotsync with...

A good pda

by mrosenbe , Oct 17 '01
Pros: easy to use, lots it can do, expansion slot
Cons: no color screen, basic
I purchased a Handspring Visor Graphite a few weeks ago to replace my old Palm III and so far I am very impressed. It is very easy to use, and has all the basic functionality I will ever need - such as address book, calendar, to do list, and note pad....

Nice looking, but...

by homeys , Aug 27 '01
Pros: Stylish, thin, fast(forPalmOS),rechargeable, able to use Springboard modules.
Cons: Some initial Q/C problems, somewhat awkward to use.
This is my 3rd PalmOS PDA. Previously a Palmpilot Pro, Handspring Deluxe. My opinion is based in comparison to these units (and in Newton 110 and MP2100).
This is the nicest looking PDA I've owned. As soon as I opened up the box and started using...

Handspring Visor Edge is not that great!

by Stockman43 , May 20 '01
Pros: Thin and light, New Fast Lookup feature in Address Book, Rechargeable battery!
Cons: Springboard adapter ruins thinness advantage, OS not upgradable!
I bought a Visor Edge from the Handspring website (for a present). Very early on there were problems. The Edge completely crashed and would not do anything, even after a "hard reset". The on-off button wouldn't even work! When I called customer...

Everything that I hoped for, only one slight problem...

by dkoepke49 , Jan 21 '01
Pros: Solid Construction, Less Expensive, Easy Expansion, Palm OS
Cons: USB Cradle
Last month I was looking for a good PDA for business uses. Something that I could sync to my computer (both at work and home) and something that was easy to handle, but above all, I was on a budget so I was looking for something under $200.00.

It is so fragile

by mrgtron , Oct 30 '00
Pros: Several great applications to choose from
Cons: Very fragile and is a battery Sucker
I bought the Handspring two month ago. I dropped it by accident from the coach and the screen broke. The Visor was inside a leather case and a plastic cover that comes with it. That did protect it enough.
I called Visor to fix it and they said I...

Portable Handspring Yet!

by osmaster , Jul 05 '01
Pros: It looks good, it's fast, its small, well designed attachments, clear screen.
Cons: Expensive Price. Competition from Palm users and IPAQ.
Features:
Great, tiny product with sleek, hard metal cover
Size:
So it's a skinny Visor Platinum; so what? Hits the spot for portability.
Screen:
It's still got an almost unreadable dull b&w screen. The...

Get yourself together

by sdibiase , Nov 12 '01
Pros: Very easy to use, lightweight.
Cons: Only Battery operated. It would be nice if it had rechargeable batteries.
I have always been a person of disorganization. That was until I bought the Handspring Visor Edge. Since then I have totally organized my professional and personal lives. The Handspring Visor Edge has enabled me to store all pertinent information (i.e....

Replacements are not new!

by CrownBuslady , Apr 19 '02
Pros: Thin, well protected, cool stylus, rechargable
Cons: bulky springboard attachment; replacements are not brand new units
It's really lame when Handspring doesnt give new units for warrenty replacements. I had to replace an almost new unit and they send one with a bad battery. So I won't bother with Handspring anymore.
I was lucky, I found a great repair company who...

by wheeljawk , Jan 08 '02
Pros: Slim form factor, sexy look, speed, springboard module compatible, battery
Cons: non-upgradable OS, Different sync connector, price/performance/feature ratio, poor durability
When I first started looking for a PDA I made a list of features that I wanted. Palm OS, slim, non-clunky form factor, expandability (i.e. springboard), rechargeable Lithium-Ion battery, and something that wouldn't be obsolete by the next year. The...

No frill, perfect starter PDA

by lll0228 , Feb 04 '02
Pros: Cheap,infinitely upgradeable,no-frills productivity enhancement!
Cons: Not enough memory if you are adding a lot of apps and Modules
I bought the Visor after my Philips Nino DIED after less than two months of service. The short battery life of the Nino wasn't nice, but the short life of the BACKUP battery definitely hurt! I didn't bother getting it changed, the Nino is in the bin....
