Pros: Thin, sturdy metal frame, backwards compatible Springboard expansions Cons: Bulky with Springboard attachments, heavy for a thin model
Handspring has finally released a thin PDA in response to the Palm V and Sony Clie: the Visor Edge. The big question now is how does it stack up against the competition.
Design Specifics
The Edge has a rectangular shape with...

Pros: Looks, Size, Price, Ease of use Cons: Screen scratches, Stylus rattles, Inverted backlight
Introduction
I decided to buy a handheld organizer after I broke my second binder of the year. I had so many papers and assignments that no binder would hold all my stuff. An organizer, however, would allow me to eliminate all of my...

Pros: Thin, Elegant, SEXIEST Visor yet. Maintains Springboard compatibility. True USB sync speeds at last. Cons: Springboard modules stick out, yet another incompatible Hotsync port. Expensive for non-color PDA.

Pros: Perfect little helper, compact and useful Cons: Only comes in black
I wanted a simple phone book/calendar: something to remind me when it was a friend's birthday, to provide the vet's phone number...something to replace the post-it notes and scribbled-on napkins that passed for organization in my life.
I did...

Pros: Great Cons: Price ($150)
Yesterday I received a Visor as a Christmas gift. I had heard about them and some of my friends had them. I had not used one though, and I was interested to see how they worked.
WHAT IS A VISOR?
A Visor is a pocket handheld...

UPDATE
I'm updating this review now that I've had it for one year. Read the full review below.
My edge is dead...but - the support from Handspring was really good so I'd still recommend the Edge, maybe I just got a bad unit? My...

Pros: Thin, stylish, and rechargable, with a very nicely designed flipcover. Cons: Expanding takes away the flipcover, and bulks unit to the size of a Visor Platinum.
Finally!! Handspring released a Visor without the usual clunky, boxy design! And it's still expandable! But there's a catch...
The Design
The Edge is very nice-looking. Thin and metallic with a handy aluminum flip-cover that...

Pros: Expansion slot Cons: Loses points for looks
The Visor is the simplest of handspring's line of PDAs. While it may be the simplest it is by no means simple, it can hold its own against any of the Palm OS PDAs. This device rates a strong buy recommendation from myself and the people I have installed...

Pros: Slim, Palm OS, fledgling development community Cons: fledgling development community, EyeModule is useless
I have a horrible confession to make. I have blood on my hands. I killed my first Visor. In fairness, I didn't mean to do it, but I should have known better than to try coding in a new language and a new platform at the same time. Somehow, I managed to...

Pros: Small size, light, sturdy, long lasting rechargable battery Cons: Only 8MB memory, no flash memory, expensive; Rechargable battery diff.to replace
I have been thinking of buying a handheld device for about one year now. I finally took the plunge on the edge, and so far, have not regretted it. The big thing for me was to get something small enough that I would be able to carry it around in my...

Disclaimer: I did not actually shell out US$150 for my Handspring Visor; it was a free gift. Now that I know how useful they are I would gladly buy one and never question the expense.
PDAs:...

Pros: Small, durable, versatile, attractive, overall the best. Cons: Pricey for average user
The Handspring Visor Edge is the best handheld available today. I know this is a big claim to make but I can back it up. The biggest competitor is the M505 and I will make several comparisons between the two.
Background
The Edge is...

Pros: Loaded with features and expansion options, affordable, great value Cons: Easy to lose cover, insufficent hardcopy manual
Before I became a proud owner of a visor, I had evaluated the reasons for purchasing one. I knew that these "PDA's" were cool and everything, but I truly did not see the full usefulness of one. However, I told my father about my interest...

Pros: small but not too small; compact device, makes you want organization. Makes you better writer. Cons: Hard to get used to letter organization.
This is maybe the coolest thing since I got my car and purchased my computer. All those times you wished you were a little bit more organized, well here’s your chance. The Handspring Visor Edge is a small computer (much smaller than a laptop and...
