Pros: An easily upgradeable and expandable, cost-effective PDA. Cons: Only 2MB memory, and not a very aesthetically streamlined unit.
Handspring is quickly catching up to their well-entrenched competition. This fact is glaringly evident when buying and using their great entry-level Personal Digital Assistant (PDA). The Handspring Visor is very affordable, very reliable, and very...

Pros: COST, PALM OS, SPRINGBOARD SLOT, POTENTIAL. Cons: EASILY SCRATCHED SCREEN, MUST BUY RECHARGABLE BATTERIES.
Carrying one of those bulky organizers wasn't for me so I relied on the gray matter to keep my schedule. After several missed appointments I purchased my Handspring Visor Deluxe at the local CompUSA store. So much for the iron clad memory!

Pros: I got what I wanted Cons: I expected a bit more (for the price)
I'm writing this review on my Visor (using Graffiti), which seems fitting. I won't re-hash the features of the Visor for you-- handspring.com does that well enough. Rather, I'll share some of the shortcomings I've discovered, as well as the things I...

Pros: Processor speed, visually appealing, Palm OS, Cheap nowadays Cons: Desktop software/syncing with any drive other than C.
I am not going to get into the whole typing out all the technical specs of the product. My previous reviews do that and I feel now that it is such repetition and information you can get from the manufacturer's or retailer's Web sites that it's just...

Pros: Low Cost, USB connection for sync, Spring Board expansion slot Cons: Clip on cover
I first considered purchasing a Palm Pilot two years ago when several of my coworkers got theirs. I constantly had a wallet crammed full of phone numbers, business cards, appointments, and a to do list. I thought the Palm would be the perfect...

Pros: Familiar interface, good speed, most of all it is thin! Cons: Cover doesn't go all the way back. Modules add to thickness.
I had been using a Handspring Deluxe and have liked it very much but I wanted something that would actually fit in my shirt pocket. The Handspring Edge looked like it fit the bill so I ordered one from their site. I have not been disappointed.

Pros: Better than Palm, cheaper than Palm, USB Cons: cannot flash OS
If you are like me, you are trying to find some way to get organized. Sure, you have the Franklin Planner, but isn't that just too big to carry around? So you reach for the pocket calendar, but you know that you will never pull that thing out. So, what...

Pros: Lightweight, runs Palm software, Springboard expansion modules provide expandibility. Cons: Pricey, but no more pricey than competing Palm products.
The Handspring Visor is nothing new.
This is essentially a Palm III, and would get low marks for ripping the idea off - except for the fact that it does everything the Palm did, better than the same Palm product did. Oh, and then there's the...

Pros: expandable Cons: screen detaches instead of flip over
In this review, I will focus on what makes the Visor different from other Palm devices, rather than rehashing all the common specs. The Visor is most distinctive for its expansion port -- the Springboard. This promises all sorts of possibilities in the...

Pros: Expandable, cheaper priced than other models. Cons: Only 2 MB (if you only need 2 MB then look at an organizer instead)
The purpose of a PDA is to use more functions of it than just as an organizer. With only 2 MB, you are pretty much limited to only being able to use it as an organizer. If you are only going to use it as an organizer, wouldn't it make more sense to get...

Pros: USB link, Great expansion possibilities, Better add on modules than Palm Cons: Limited availability, Must purchase from website at this time
I have used several handheld computers before I decided to get the Handspring Visor an I must say I'm impressed. The Visor is designed by a group of developers who broke away from the 3com Palm division to start their own PDA company. Their PDA does...

Pros: Improved Calculator, Expandable, Price Cons: Finish Details, Slow work on add-ons
Handspring's competition for the Palm III is really what it is to be cracked up to be, and more. In real world use the Visor functions more like a Palm V or even a Palm VII. The essential reason is the ability to expand memory and other functions by...

Pros: Slim Form, Lightweight, Metal Casing, Built-in Lithium Battery Cons: Poor IR placement, Flip cover doesn't completely reverse, new sync connector.
I have been a Palm OS user for over 3 years since purchasing my original Pilot 1000. During this time, I have gone through several hardware upgrades as the Palm platform has evolved.
Steady evolution is a concept that seems to fit the Visor...

Pros: expansion modules, cheaper than palm Cons: detachable hard cover, flimsy plastic stylus
I purchased Handspring Visor after having gotten burnt with Royal Da Vinci and I am so happy I made this choice. Its been over six months now and I have not encountered any problems with it. Me and my husband bought two of these together and he uses it...

Pros: Great for a beginner, OS easy to learn, easy to sync, lots of features Cons: only 2 MB of memory too little for some
I have had my Handspring Visor for all of 8 days and am wondering how I have managed to live without it. I have been the Queen of the Procrastinators and Organizationally Challenged for years! I am entering nursing clinicals in a few weeks, so I have no...
