Pros: clean design, durable, cool stylus, IR interface. Cons: screws fall out, cover gets loose, not built to last.
My history of PDAs starts with the Palm m100. After breaking the covers on half a dozen of them, I moved to the Visor Deluxe. When the Edge came out, I was in love.
The body is sleek, and the aluminum shell makes for excellent armor. I...

Pros: works like the Palm V Cons: Erases itself when batteries run out
There is one thing wrong with the visor. It erases itself when the batteries run out. For those who are not inclined to back it up, this can be devastating. It makes a strong argument for buying the Palm V instead.
When I turned my visor on...

Pros: Low cost, sturdy design, variety Cons: a *little* bigger than some of the other Palm OS devices
I don't know about you, but I could never remember to look at a schedule that I wrote down in a date book. I would always *write* in them, and never remember to check them. My Visor has saved my "bacon" on more than one occasion. The alarms...

Pros: Very sturdy, long battery life, thin and light weight Cons: Green back light, no longer supported
Why would a four year old palmtop still sell for more than $50 on Ebay? Because it still does what it was designed to do, and it does it very, very well! When the Handspring Visor Edge debuted, it was one of the thinnest, lightest, and best looking ...

Pros: Lightweight, built in cover, does not need batteries Cons: Unreliable, crashes all the time, mediocre customer support, not durable
I chose the Visor edge for its memory, size, built-in cover, and rechargeable battery. At the time (Sept 2001), it was one of the new models and after I bought it, I loved it...for a little while it was the perfect tool.
Then, screws started...

Pros: Thin, protected power button, li-ion battery, looks cool Cons: Screws & stylus fall out, metal makes it heavier than necessary, less accessories available, cost
I've been using Palm OS PDAs for a number of years, and use it for intensively for calendaring, task management, contacts, memos/notes, and less so for email.
I've had the Palm Personal, the Palm V, and the Handspring Edge.

Pros: Great design, expansion capabilities, priced attractively Cons: New to the market
I had the opportunity to play with a Handspring visor deluxe unit to run some compatibility tests for Palm apps that we create at my workplace. Having been a Palm user for some time now and working on the platform, I was very impressed with the Visor's...

Pros: looks great, fast, lots of memory Cons: expensive, expansion slot changed
Handspring is really giving Palm a run for their money. If you think the original Visors were great, take a look at the new Visor Edge. The first thing you'll notice is that Handspring redesigned the casing - no more drab rectangle. The new Edge is...

Pros: Thin, light weight design. Palm OS. Built in rechargeable Batter. Cons: Poorly placed IR port, shoddy attachment of Stylus, Still no OS flash upgrade.
I had been watching Handspring for some time, waiting for the promised Visor Edge. Well, they definitely named it correctly. One of the first things I did was slice my finger on the flip up cover. The unit is square, so the flip up cover has a very...

Pros: expandable, Mac support, Root for the underdog! Cons: Detachable cover
Don't call the Handspring Visor a PDA (Personal Data Assistant). No, not a PIM (Personal Information Manager) either. I prefer the term "Handheld Computer" even though the primary use is an electronic address & date book. If you're the...

Pros: inexpensive,Expandable,Great Screen,USB Cons: None
The visor whether you buy the regular or deluxe is probably the best investment you can make in a palm organizer. At just 179.99 (MSRP) you cannot beat it. This little miracle is expandable and comes with the USB cradle which makes downloading a snap....

Pros: Slim and sexy Cons: Too eager to hit market
I have a Handspring Visor Deluxe, and I am content with it for the most part (minus the fragile display that costs $80 to fix). I also happen to love when new products come to market, especially if it is electronic... but enough about me...

Pros: Size & Weight, Style, Design Quality Cons: Expansion Pack makes as thick as a standard Handspring
I have worked with PDA's as a sales person for over a year now, and consider myself pretty knowledgable. Especially since anyone who has been around longer has to relearn everything every six or eight months anyway. I really like the Edge as one of the...

Pros: Just so cool, compact and gorgeous. Decent processor and screen Cons: Poor value these days, poor stylus, Sony
I won't bore you by going through all the technical specs for this PDA--others have done that already. I'll just tell you why you may or may not want one.
Fact is, it is really cool. Mine is metallic silver and makes everyone stare when I pull...

Pros: see my review Cons: see my review
I am a first time PDA buyer. I researched the hell out of these things and decided to go with the handspring visor. I am glad I did.
Pros: Smaller than my wallet;
Address book;
Calculator (advanced and basic)
Expense program (for...
