Pros: Great tool, intuitive design, good software for PC/Mac syncs Cons: Starting to get old...needs a slightly faster processor when loading lots of other programs.
The entire Palm (don't say PalmPilot since the Pilot pen company sued and won to have 3Com remove that part from the name...) line is a brilliant stroke that is revolutionizing the way people carry around their critical data.
While having a...

Pros: COLOR, 8MB of Memory, PALM OS. Cons: Sometimes hard to see screen when outside, limited peripheral support
Let me start by saying that I researched all PDA's for about a month before buying one. In the end, it was the Palm IIIc that stood out to me as being the best buy. Here are some qualities that stand out about the IIIc!
1). COLOR...I can't...

Pros: Easy to use Cons: Sometimes hard to read
I just went cold turkey and gave up my phonebook-sized planner, replacing it with the Palm IIIxe. What a great move!!! Not only do you get a ton of storage capacity (8MB), but it's also NOT overloaded with a ton of unused, gimicky features. In fact,...

Pros: Battery life, applications, cost/value Cons: Screen, serial interface
3Com's PALM III should be on your short list if you want a competent PDA for less than $150. I've had 5 PDA devices over the past 4 years and the Palm platform is the most functional, elegant design to date. Strengths include:
-Sync software...

Pros: portable, small, light, user friendly Cons: Battery replacement forever
First of all, you must believe me I do not own stock in 3Com/US Robotics. That being said, these palm devices allow you have the world in the 'palm' of your hand. From appointments, to memos, to calculations, and on to email you have it all when the...

Pros: Size, usability Cons: no color screen
I have to start this by saying that I'm a Newton user. In my opinion, the Apple Newton Messagepad 2100 is by far, one of the best PDA's. That said, I now use my Palm III more often than my Newton. It's just more convenient.
It is just the right...

Pros: Small, lightweight, durable, and handy Cons: No affordable wireless cellular version yet...screw the expensive Palm V!
I'm not a gadget fan. I had an early Apple Newton and hated it. I've had cell phone, a pager, a SkyPager, a PCS phone, all manner of laptops, and several voice-recording machines. I've loathed them all. I've even eliminated portable phones and pagers...

Pros: It's great Cons: none
The current desktop software for syncing your Palm device on the macintosh was originally an apple-developed (Claris-branded) software product called Claris Organizer. After testing various PIM (Personal Information Managers) for the Mac platform, it...

Pros: Portable, very helpful. Cons: Takes time to learn
I would have to say that the Palm Pilot 7 is one of the most helpful devices I have used in a long time.As a business man I don't have time to sit down and put all my things into an address book at a desk or contact someone via E-mail so I can do all...

Pros: Wonderful setup, Great ease of use, excellent for kids Cons: Magnetic waves to determine letters of the alphabet are somewhat difficult to master
When looking for a quality organizer, I first went over the Palm III. I explored all of its benefits, and all of its disappointments. The Palm III was a great choice. The Palm III offers a wonderful new approach to the pocket book. Almost anyone can...

Pros: Very easy to use and has a lot of available freeware Cons: Overpriced- Not enough memory
The Palm III is very overrated. Although I like the basic functionality and the ease of use, I'm sorry to say that WinCE has made the PDA a little better than the PalmOS. WinCE pretty cumbersome, but offers a lot of expandability on it's machines and it...

Pros: Extremely portable, too many benefits of digital technology to mention Cons: The Palm desktop software is fair at best but functional
I was learry at first about ditching the Franklin planner which I had relied on for so long to keep me organized. I could rationalize the obvious benefits of an electronic organizer but was simply afraid to pull the trigger. I finally made a...

Pros: Size, Desktop Software Cons: Small screen, not a time saver, annoying.
What seems to be a unique little time saving device is nothing but an annoying waste of time and money. Have we all gotten so excited and amused by technology that we have lost our common sense!
I'm a hip guy. I keep up with the new high tech...

Pros: handy and small Cons: little pricey and no color
I own a palm 3 pilot. I have had it for approximately 2 years. I think it is very handy to store addresses, phone numbers, email address, appointments, your to do list, or notes. You can also check your email with the palm 3 pilot. If you have a...
