Pros: Intuitive Interface, Nice Feature Set, Handy Gadget Cons: Makes You Seem Geekish (if that bothers you)
I've been using the IIIx for about three months now and don't know how I could live without it. I used to have a Palm Pro for about two years until I dropped it and cracked the screen. That was the excuse I was looking for to upgrade. Compared to the...

Pros: Low cost, great assistant to travel with, user friendly Cons: only 4 mb capacity, no Active Matrix Color Display
This Palm Pilot has much going for it...Including: Date Book, Address Book, To Do List, Memo Pad, E-mail, Expense, Calculator, as well as Microsoft Outlook Links included. AAA batteries are required, good news, AAA batteries are universal. Easy to find...

Pros: Great programs, easy to use, good interface, more than enough memory Cons: Pricey, have to learn the handwriting
About June of 1999 I was looking for something that would function as a date keeper, expense book, and simple memo pad. Then I found the Palm IIIx. Yes, it was pricey, it didn't have color, and I had to learn a new way of writing. What it had outweighed...

Pros: Memory, Power, Cheaper than V Cons: Batteries required, Not SEXY
Read my review on the IIIe to learn why the IIIx is probably the better choice of the two models! For a minimal price difference you get twice the memory, a conduit to synch with Outlook, the promise of expanding the memory, and a small "x"...

Pros: Light, Efficient Cons: Limited storage and speed compared to laptop
I purchased my Palm IIIx as an alternative to lugging around my laptop. I travel widely throughout the state and as a commuter and carrying my laptop was straining my shoulder. Most of the time the Personal Information Management and Note-Taking...

Pros: Inexpensive alternative to Vx Cons: Only works for 6-8 months
I chose my first Palm over two years ago. The IIIx although exciting at first, was a disappointment over time (I currently am very happy with the Vx). For normal use, carrying the Palm III in my pants pocket proved to damage the screen, leaving it...

Pros: easy to use, faster than WinCE systems Cons: bulky, difficult to read the screen sometimes
Hi,
I bought this three weeks ago from Amazon.com. I have a friend who has a Palm V. I played around with it, and found it rather useful. It's light and easy to carry. But Palm V is very expensive, around $250, and oddly has only 2MB of memory....

Pros: Small form factor, speed, simplicity of use Cons: Grafitti, Dull
First, let me give you a history of my PDA use. I started out with an Apple Newton MessagePad 120, then 130, then MP2000. I now use a Palm IIIx. The IIIx is a very functional little PDA. It has the important features a PDA should have, simplicity, speed,...

Pros: definitely outweigh the cons, clear screen, adaptable, convenient, small and light, easy software, am able to run and use on Windows 2000 without any problems, and has enough memory to store any information needed. Cons: battery life can be a little short but well worth the organization the device brings.
The Palm IIIx was a great addition to my lifestyle, allowing me to keep track of important dates with it's alarm feature and the storing of phone numbers, ranging from family and friends to business contacts. It has served it's purpose and has enough...

Pros: weight, battery life, free software, ease-of-use, intuitivity, general coolness Cons: screen glare (the only thing I could come up with)
After months of deliberating "will I or won't I use it?" I finally broke down and bought a Palm IIIx. I'm so glad I did. I've been using it non-stop, plugging everything in my life into it. Sure the WinCE devices are more flashy, but they are...

Pros: Good memory level (can upgrade), easy to use, lots of software Cons: a bit bulky, need to keep AAA batteries around
I got the Palm IIIx originally for my wife, but she decided she liked the look of the PalmV better, so I got her one of those and kept the III for myself.
It has proved to be a very useful tool, keeping track of my daily schedule -- I can...

Pros: small, beeps, third party games Cons: tiny screen, mediocre applications, no personality
When I bought the Palm IIIx, I thought it was the best thing since electricity was discovered. After a number of months, I'm beginning to doubt the value in the device at all.
I'm no luddite, I work on the net, in fact. And the Palm IIIx was,...

Pros: Long battery life, easy to use Cons: grayscale screen
Who would have thought that this small marvel of digital gadget would be sitting in my shirt pocket wherever I go. I received the IIIx as a gift from my wife on my birthday. I was desperately in need of an organizer.
I had all of my Names/Addresses...

Pros: 4MB MEMORY, INFA RED LINK, UPGRADEABLE, SHARP CLEAR SCREEN Cons: INVERTED SCREEN DOES NOT WORK TOO WELL IN BRIGHTER THAN VERY DIM LIGHT
Although the palm IIIx is not as strong as its bigger, more expensive brothers, the palm V and the palm VII, it certainly packs a bang for the buck. This palm is between the featureless little organizers and the huge monster pda's that cost a small...

Pros: Lots of software, stable, great battery life. Cons: The built in software could use a little tweaking.
The Palm IIIx has been by companion for the last five and a half months. As an organizer it has been outstanding, I have never been they type to use a day planner, but this little gadget has barley left my side. Hardware wise, the screen is very clear...
