Pros: Easy to use, stylish. Cons: Hard to turn the annoying noises off
I recently was given the Palm IIIxe for the holidays. Without even thinking that I needed one, I am now extremely glad that I have this nifty contraption, and would recommend it to anyone. It was $250, but came with a $50 rebate so it wasn't terribly...

Pros: Sturdy and a lot of memory. Inexpensive Cons: bulky
I bought the Palm 3XE when it was still a pricey $260.00. You can now get it for around $150.00.
Among the rest of the Palm's it is a bit bulky, but it is very sturdy. With 8 mb it stores a lot of information and games!
I was...

Pros: Uses Palm III accessories. Cons: Unreliable -- recurrent data loss.
A disaster. The first one we bought had flashing logo crashes with total data loss. It was sent for repair, the problem recurred. We exchanged the repaired one for a reconditioned IIIxe, that one had total data loss with no evident crash.
Good...

Pros: 8 MB of RAM, easy install Cons: cover gets in the way
I bought this as an upgrade to an old Palm Professional. I had looked at the M100, which seemed fine, .but I liked that I got the 8 MB of RAM for only about $100 more. I also found that the IIIxe has a slight larger screen than the M100. I find this a...

Pros: Price, Ease of Use, Stability, Stylus, Cons: Backlight
I was looking for a solution to take notes in law school and organize my life and the IIIxe and Portable keyboard are perfect. I also looked at the Visor but I felt the Palm had a better screen and the Visor came with a terrible stylus.
I am...

Pros: Interface with Outlook, and have pocket Quicken for Palm OS Cons: Not reliable. have too many GPF (or anything alike for palm)
I bought the Palm IIIxe about one year ago. Since the first week it started showing intermittent problems. The system would fail, and a general error message would display until you reset it. The problem is that it would occur at night sometimes and the...

Pros: Lots of RAM, convenient Cons: No color - already out of date
Well this Palm ( III xe ) has got all the basics - lots of ram , and the normal functions every pda should have. But you see, it's out of date now - so you would be better off buying a m105.
If you're getting a secondhand palm - then It's not...

Pros: Palm OS; lots of available Apps; lots of memory Cons: Wish it were thinner like the Palm V
I had an ORIGINAL Palm Pilot. When it died, I knew I wanted another Palm because it was exactly what I needed -- a replacement for my DayTimer with email capability and lots of optional applications for add-on.
I chose it over the Palm V...

Pros: easy to use. Cons: Can't think of any
I walked into the store thinking that a palm was mostly a toy that I would probly use sometimes. Let me tell you what I would be lost without this thing. I take it everywhere. Actually I fell naked with out it. The IIIxe has 8 meg of memory. which is...

Pros: Inexpensive, integrates well with windows environment, stable Cons: The screen protector doesn't slide back. Non-rechargeable.
I have never been a big fan of PDA's. I don't know why, just never liked them. They seemed too limited, I guess.
Recently, my supervisor insisted I get a Palm to test it's integration with our new accounting software. After a few days, I'm a...

Pros: Attractive icons, lots of reliable memory. Good overall potential Cons: The potential is limited by the lack of installed programs.
This version of the Palm is a good, functional PDA. However, for the money, it seems like more of a shell of what it could be. In order to better fill out this PDA, and make the PalmIIIxe a better value, the programs that come pre-installed need to be...

Pros: A powerhouse machine; a must-have for any serious medical professional Cons: No complaints from me!
There was a recent New York Times Health section article on the medical professionals, especially physicians, using Palm and related software to aid their practice. Most importantly, the article pointed out the Palm being used mostly for drug...

Pros: Light, easy to use Cons: Not enough e-books in Palm format, hard to enter text
Believe it or not, I bought a Palm because I wanted a device for reading e-books, but I didn't feel like getting a dedicated e-book reader. I bought a Palm instead because it's more popular and thus more likely to last in the marketplace; it has more...

Pros: Better than paper when working. Cons: Paper would have been better since it didn't.
I got mine as a birthday gift. My wife went all over to find it. It was so simple to use that I was depending on it within one day. The one glitch was that I could not get the hot sync software to install and operate correctly. It would keep asking...
