Pros: Sleek, stylish, powerful Cons: Backlighting may be hard to see for some
I work in e-commerce sales, and when you are constantly face to face with people who make you look like a technological midget when it comes to product knowledge, one thing that we all can agree on is the smart choice I made in purchasing my Palm V! ...

Pros: More memory, rechargable Cons: NONE
3Com's Palm PDA's are definitely the best PDA's on the market. You can read the other reviews to hear how this device will help you organize your life and how wonderful it is. As a Palm collector (I have all Palm and Pilot models), I will rather compare...

Pros: Size, appearance, bulletproof OS Cons: None
I bought an 8 meg aftermarket PV shortly before palm started making the VX. This ended my sojourn from several HP 100/200s through several Win CE devices. I needed better desktop connectivity than the venerable HPs could provide.
Win CE was...

Pros: Cool style and look, wide array of peripherals Cons: Little improvement from Palm III in terms of user interface; would benefit user if screen was backlit; , 2 meg memory gives you data cramps.
This is a true story:
Ever since I made this purchase, I've improved by 98% in arriving to meetings and appointments on time. I set the warning bell at least 15-20 minutes before the end of a meeting, and doing so makes it easier for me to wrap...

Pros: rechargeable, excellent conduits Cons: pricey, low spec ram as standard
Lets start with an introductory fact. I hate tapes. Video tapes, audio tapes, backup tapes. They all offend me. I hate the paradox inherent in mechanical devices.
Each time you play your favourite tune, you contribute to its irreversible...

Pros: Size, Quality of Applications, 3rd Party Support Cons: Retail price a little steep
I have been a Palm Organizer owner since I first saw the US Robotics Pilot 5000 back in 1996. A great device, it served me well (with upgrades) until I got my hands on a new Palm V this summer. The upgrade was definitely worth it, although I have to...

Pros: Great look, Small size, Simple, easy to use Cons: List price is high, new WAP and Palm VII competition looking good
After deciding I'd had enough of scraps of paper with notes written on them everywhere I finally took the plunge and bought the Palm V when I found it priced on accompany.com for $315.00 (since then the lowest I've seen is 325.00).
The new...

Pros: Coolness Cons: Cost
This is for those of us who DON'T need to store contact information for 300 vendors, never write down 27 appointments scheduled 39 days from now, and rarely use terms such as "sonnet adaptor" or "EJB module" or "backend...

Pros: Fun, easy to use, keeps you on track of everything Cons: none
I did not buy this Palm. Someone gave it to me. Now I was trying to think of different ways to tell my friend how I don't really need it. I decided later that why not use it. It looked cool on the box. 'Maybe,' I thought "it would help my...

*****EDITED REVIEW AT THE END!!!******
I purchased my Palm V, just shortly after it came out. I agree with other opinion writers, this PDA is small, handy and neat, but in my opinion overrated.
I love the fact that you can put just about...

Pros: Small, light. Palm OS SIMPLE to use. Graffiti intuitive to learn. Powerful yet simple applications. Cons: Fragile buttons. Skimpy memory by today's standards. Short battery life compared to Palms with AAA's.
I have been using Palm products since the PalmPilot Pro, including the Palm III and Palm V. I was happy with my Palm III until I won the Palm V I have now at a company picnic. Before that I was using a Casio BOSS. I run my life on this thing.

Pros: great aesthetics, ease of use in navigation and applications, rechargeable battery Cons: none with the Palm, but the hardcase (if you choose to buy it) doesn't latch, and you can't sync the Palm with it on.
Although the Palm V is basically the Palm III in an upgraded casing, if you're into aesthetics, the extra cost is worth it. The anodized aluminum casing is really nicely designed and well put together. 2 megs of RAM is probably enough for you if you just...

Pros: Size, Weight, Microsoft Outlook Integration, Easy to Use Cons: Price, Poor handling of repeatable events
Revised 10-27-00
I have been using a black organizer book since 1992. For the past five years, I have been printing calendar pages and To Do lists off Microsoft Schedule Plus. I believe in an organizer because it allows me to keep my mind free and...
