Pros: Sleek body, 8MB, rechargable, bright screen Cons: uses Serial port instead of USB, Stock cover makes it look like an 80s calculator (and doesn't protect enough)
While the Palm Vx shares the same stylish aluminum body of the original Palm V, the increased memory and improved software make a vast improvement.
The original Palm V was (and still is) the most sleek and sexy PDA available. Unfortunatly, it...

Pros: Convenience, Size, Look feel, Company Support, Cons: Though powerful can't be upgraded - but there may be changes in platforms by then anyway
I purchased the product for its lightness and compactness. The screen is well lit. It recharges automatically in its cradle. Palm is the strongest platform and seems to have the greatest number of applications for a PDA available. It is a convenient...

Pros: Reliability Cons: Limited expandability
There has been a lot of talk about all the newest, latest and the greatest PDA's now available to potential buyers. In reality that's exactly what it all adds up to - talk.
I have been using a Palm since the Palm professional, then a Palm III...

Pros: Size, Storage and the memory Cons: screen and the backlight feature
I never believed in electronic organizers. I preferred writing all my appointments, telephone numbers, and other relevant information into a daily planner. Then someone gave me a Palm Vx and “WOW”; I threw away my bulky daily planner. The Palm Vx...

Pros: Enough RAM to satisfy anybody, same sleek design as the Palm V Cons: Still the same problems with the battery as the Palm V
I really don't know what Palm was thinking when they issues the original Palm V that only 2MB of RAM. It seems that they have noticed the err of the design and gave us the perfect Palm Vx with 8MB of RAM. I have to say that they finally got it...

Pros: Styling, Functionality, and Standard OS Cons: Price, Need for Software, and Monochrome Screen
I received the Palm Vx as a birthday gift approximately one year ago. I find it to be an indispensable tool for keeping track of appointments and contacts.
Anyone who is tired of carrying a bulky daytimer, or who keeps information in several...

Pros: Light weight, Fast, More Memory, Rechargeable Battery, Slim Profile Cons: Costs a little more than the III series
First of all, here's why I use Palm devices:
I rely on the Palm device to help me manage my day. I synchronize with Microsoft Outlook so my schedule, tasks and so forth are always at hand. I take notes electronically in my business meetings....

Pros: OS: Easy and lots of software. Casing: Rechargable, Thin Cons: Other than no color, there are not cons.
As the Palms go, this is the one.
It’s thin, and rechargeable. I have a Palm III as well and I am always losing data, because the batteries go dead. And the Palm IIIs and VII are bulky.
This has all the software you can imagine...

Pros: style, capacity, size, reliability Cons: price, inability to expand
Both the Vx and Visor Deluxe have the same basic features, 8mb memory, upgraded OS, and speedy processor. What divides the two are personal preference in style and the ability to upgrade.
The Palm Vx is the epitomy of the aesthetic personal...

Pros: Easy to use; compact; cradle Cons: Limited Software applications
I purchased the Palm Vx to replace my traditional paper day planner. So far it has worked exceptionally well. All the applications work flawlessly. I have the Palm Vx set up to work with MS Outlook 2000, including the Task manager, mail, contacts, and...

Pros: Too many to list. What a machine! Cons: Careful with that first synchronisation!
Wow! After considering getting one of these for about six months, I finally splashed out on a Vx. It is incredible!
I had delayed buying one because I was waiting for the Visor to become available outside the USA. But, it seems I won't be able...

Pros: Size, styling, battery life Cons: Location of contrast button
Too many of the PDA's are not truly "pocket" sized. The Vx definitely fits into pockets. The Vx has been a wonderful tool for organizing myself. I've recently become a Project Coordinator and as such, I have to keep track of various people,...

Pros: Thin, Lightweight, 8 MBs of Memory. Cons: Screen legibility could be better yet.
When my Palm V was stolen last May, I went right out and bought a Palm Vx to replace it! Upfront, I should address the comment of the reviewer below who complained of losing his data when the device crashed. The Palm Vx comes with software that allows...

Pros: 8mb memory, cool look Cons: high cost versus the III series
I've been a Palm Pro user for the last 3 years, and finally decided to upgrade. Looking at the systems after the recent price cut, I picked up the Palm Vx (found a refurbished one for $349 - $399 list). It's a classy looking machine, but... none of the...
