Cons: EVERYTHING ELSE...

This is the worst printer I ever had.
It eats the ink from the cartidge, it´s printing quality is terrible, it´s slow, loud, etc.
If you are at your common sense, PLEASE DON´T BUY THIS PRINTER !!!!

Despite the fact that it prints slower than many of the printers available in the market, it is indeed a good buy if it deals with mere black-and-white text printing. Effect of the print-outs is satisfactory though not impressive.

Pros: Best little workhorse ever!!!
Cons: Slow ... but steady.

I have had this printer for over 7 years. I print lots of documents and this printer just keeps going. I use ink refills and I am able to reuse each Canon cartridge at least four rounds before having to replace it with a new one.

Cons: Expen$ive cartridges that run out quickly or dry out, single tri-color cartridge

I purchased this printer as a back-up for a laser printer and to print an occasional color copy. It came with one color cartridge. When the laser printer went bad, I decided to purchase a black cartridge and was dismayed to find that it cost $25 at Wal-Mart. Refill kits and compatible cartridges are not available for this printer. The cartridge lasted a couple months of light use and then dried out. Numerous cleaning cycles did not help. After another couple months of using the color cartridge for occasional use, it ran out of ink. The three color tanks are combined in the one cartridge so it is not possible to purchase the cartridge for just the color that ran out. Internet prices for the color cartridge are $39.

This printer may be cheap to buy, but is unacceptably expensive to maintain. Look for a printer with separate cartridges for the three colors and where reasonably-priced after-market cartridges are available.

Pros: fast, ink-saving, reliable, user-friendly, clean-printing
Cons: color/black must be interchanged

i got this printer for free by exchanging a router for it from my ex. i'd say... she definitely got the worse end of the straw. this is the best inkjet printer i've ever owned, and i've owened a lot. i'm a student so i print a lot for my own purposes (as opposed to submitting papers) so i turn the quality all the way down to draft to save on ink... and i switch cartriges once a year. i buy them off ebay so they're $8. it's fast and it hardly ever fails on me. when it does, it's usually my own damn fault by giving it crappy paper. i love this printer.
