Pros: good print quality regular and pictures
Cons: envelop slot and 4x6 photo slot jams, outrageous prices on ink.

I have had my 952C HP printer for a month or so and it has been an ok printer but I now regret paying the price I did.

It does fine for regular printing and photos from the regular feed trays, but ALWAYS jams when you try to use the 4x6 photo...

I purchased this printer in Jan of 2001 at Office Depot. I is still running as well as it did when i got it and is on its second computer. The paper tray and feed works well, I only have a jam about once every 1000 pages. Picture print out well, and so do envelopes. I can say it has been a very good deal for the money. No smearing or off color printing.

Cons: Ink Smears, paper feeds incorrectly, prints black letters in blue/purple hue, prints color incorrectly.

I bought this unit because of many reviews I read. I unpacked the printer and plugged it in. It worked fine for a week and then the problems started. I was going to use this printer for business invoices, but it prints black ink and logo's in a purple/blue hue. It makes the document look completely unprofessional. It also prints every document crooked, again very unprofessional. Don't even think you will print envelopes with this printer, it smears the ink beyond recognition. I refuse to use the substandard printer because it will hurt my business reputation.

I can't use this piece of garbage for my business because it butchers anything you try to print. I called HP support and they were of no help and would not consider replacing it with another product. I refuse to use it at home because of the same quality issues. I cannot believe HP allowed this piece of junk to be sold to the public. They have lost my business forever!

I had to replace it and write it off as a loss on my taxes.

AVOID THIS PRINTER LIKE THE PLAGUE!!!!

The 952C has been a great printer for me, it has excellent printing quality. I use it to print all pictures. I have all digital cameras and do not go to stores for having prints developed. This printer has been an asset to me and what I need to get done.
