Pros: Extremely speedy, reliable and easy to use. A breeze to install. Cons: Minimal printed documentation on installation (not really needed, though), and none on software use.
I finally decided to make the plunge into CD-RW after so many years of using CD Roms only to install software and play the occasional music CD. I settled on the 9100 series after reading so many positive reviews about it, in addition to the great...

Pros: cheap, works very well (has not failed me yet!) Cons: n/a
Well I was in need of a cd writer because, as with most people, my hard drive was getting full of stuff that I really don't need often but want there for future references.
So I went to my local computer store to see the prices on current cd...

Pros: Supports everything, quiet, and well made. Cons: Software package not so good for 9150i
I'd been wanting a CD-Writer for ages, and I was going to go for the HP8250i (because it's cheap), but I decided to spend the extra, and I'm glad I did. I really looked into them before I bought it, and a lot of CD-Writers seemed to be good at some...

Pros: Great Tech Support, Easy install Cons: none
I bought my Hewlett-Packard burner two years ago. At that time I wasn’t sure who was the best in CD-Writer’s, so I went with a name I knew and trusted. I took it home, and found that installation was a breeze. They have step-by-step instructions with...

Pros: HP Quality, reliability Cons: Pay a little more for the name but I thought it was worth it.
I have another HP burner--a 7200 model from a couple years ago. I bought one for my office to transfer large files back and forth. The files got to be too big for my Zip drives. The Zip drives were getting to be a PITA also. There are other ways to...

Pros: Easy to install and use, everything included Cons: color doesn't match...hahaha
I recently purchased HP's 9100 series rewritable CD burner, and I must say I am astonishingly impressed. This burner is very easy to install and use.
Installation was a snap. Open your PC, slide the drive into an empty bay, plug the data...

Pros: Good piece of hardwaree Cons: Have to purchase additional software to burn anything
I work for a local college, and when I expressed an interest in installing a cd/writer in my computer, the college said yes. Since I am a tech, we purchased the latest and greatest from HP. At the time, it was this unit. It was more current than my...

Pros: Very reliable, simple to install and use Cons: most writes ocure at 4X even though it is an 8X unit
Spent a bit of time trying to decide which CD-RW unit to buy. Read many review on cnet, talked to friends. Ended up buying the HP 9100 and I am very pleased. I have used the adaptec software that came with it, and have had no problems. I have backed up...

Pros: Fast, Well made, Good value Cons: Win2k compatibility, Support, Expensive
About 3 months ago I was looking for a CD burner. Through my research it basically came to the Creative Lab's 8x burner and the HP 9100i(also 8x.)
After noticing that the Creative burner had half of the cache and that the 9100i was a good performer,...

Pros: speed, reliability, easy of use and installation Cons: a little pricey? great features though
I bought this product mainly due to the HP name. We own many different Hewlett Packard products, including a printer, scanner, and office jet multifunction machine. The support of HP is excellent. One phone call to their support line and your problem...

Pros: Good HP reputation Cons: MyCD software is very poor
After doing some review of CD-RW options I decided that the HP brand name was worth the extra cost and purchased a 9150i. Wrong, but read on. I had no experience in opening up computers and changing internal hardware, but fear not, HP's directions...

Pros: Easy to use and install Cons: Possible conflict glitches
Christmas morning I opened this baby up and immediately started taking the screws out of the back of my tower. We watched the little series of photos that demonstrated what to do. It was very easy. The very first thing I did was make a disaster...

Pros: Simple, easy to use, and quick. Cons: When writing, the speed needs to be set at or slower than the CD-ROM that you are making the CD for.
Simple. It works.
That's what people look for in computer products, easy to use and it works nicely. It took me about five minutes to set up, install, and start writing on my first CD-R. At max speed I can copy a full CD in 10 minutes....

Pros: Another Quality product from HP Cons: N/A
I didn't realize the potential for this device when I originally purchased it. It is fast efficient and quite easy to use. The 8x4x32x makes it far faster that what is actually needed. Most experienced users realize that when quality matters speed is not...
