Pros: easy-to-use buttons. Quick installation. Low cost.
Cons: discouraging scan qualities for certain inks and contrasts. Makes horrid FAX files (for transmitting).

Summary: We purchased this ScanJet 5300c a year ago. We found that it really did well on high-contrast typed documents. "Photocopies" of forms filled in with ink (especially blue) did poorly. We FAX documents a bit. Never have we been able to scan a page and ... read more

    Cons: None, yet.

Summary: I trust HP's products implicitly. Their printers, their CDRWs, their scanners are all bulletproof gear, guarunteed to last a lifetime of whatever it is you do. Well, I can't say all of that for this scanner, and that really saddens me. Allow me to ... read more
