Pros: Speed- Quality-
Cons: 30+ startup time.
The combo of this scanner and my photoquality printer is the ultimate photo factory. With out a good scanner your scanned photos printed out will look bad. This scanner stays true to the original image taking away very very little quality when scanned in...

Pros: Easy set up, user friendly

I needed a scanner to go along with my home computer so I researched everything out there less than $250. The general consensus from all the sites and magazines I read pointed towards Visioneer. I purchased the Visioneer on sale for $79 opting not to go...

Visioneer is far from visionary

by gary32may , Dec 29 '99
Pros: A lot of good Ideas, and one touch features...
Cons: Poor Installation software and a total lack of online support..
Well I regret to say that my experience with the Visioneer 7600 was more of a Hades bent hallucination, than a vision. The allegedly easy to install software and drivers, were everything but easy to install. But once they were installed simply...

Good, easy to use scanner

by Shiretown , Jul 26 '00
Pros: easy to use and the quality is great
Cons: software is poor for advanced users and the light can remain lit for hours
I received this scanner as a graduation gift and I have to say that it was one of my best presents. If you have Windows 98 and a free USB port, this scanner couldn't be any easier to use. Just install the drivers and plug it in. Its also great for all...

Pros: easy set-up
Cons: slow scan and slow warm-up
After trying the UMAX USB scanner and having problems, I returned the UMAX and purchased the Visioneer 7600. This scanner was easier to set up, the software is easier to use, and the quality of the scans is superior.

Don't ever unplug it.
by reason111 ,May 25 '04
Pros: great quality for the price
Cons: it's basically a one-computer use.
My two sisters and I have all 3 purchased the Visioneer and all 3 had the same problems. Initial installation is fine but if you ever decide to reformat or unplug it, it never works again. I haven't moved or rearrainged anything on my desk in the vacinity of the scanner for 3 years because of my intense work trying to fix theirs. Finally I had to reformat. I forgot to follow the EXACT procedure of 1.unplug scanner from computer 2. unplug scanner from power supply 3.uninstall/reinstall software, 4.plug scanner to computer 5. plug to power supply. I forgot step 2, unplugging from power supply, and boom, no matter how much you repeat the steps, it never again detects the scanner. So, for the inexpensive price, it's worth it, but just hope you never have to unplug it and start over.

Terrible Support!
by guardup ,Oct 20 '03
Pros: It worked fine on my old OS.
Cons: When I upgraded to Windows XP they wouldn't give me a driver!
I was greatly disappointed to discover that Visioneer does not provide the drivers for Windows XP and this scanner. I have only owned this scanner for 2 years and they decide that it is too old to provide drivers for an XP upgrade. Thanks alot, Visioneer. It'll be a cold day in hell before I buy from you again.
