The 7600 scanner is a great one! I have had it for about 1 year now and never had a problem. It scans great images, I can even scan better images but they take up to much space of memory. Visioneer is also a good company to buy from.
After owning this Visioneer for not even a year, it no longer works. It is just sitting here next to the tower collecting as much dust as possible from the room. I do not know what has happened to it, I think I only used it maybe four or five times if...

Pros: great quality for the price Cons: it's basically a one-computer use.
My two sisters and I have all 3 purchased the Visioneer and all 3 had the same problems. Initial installation is fine but if you ever decide to reformat or unplug it, it never works again. I haven't moved or rearrainged anything on my desk in the vacinity of the scanner for 3 years because of my intense work trying to fix theirs. Finally I had to reformat. I forgot to follow the EXACT procedure of 1.unplug scanner from computer 2. unplug scanner from power supply 3.uninstall/reinstall software, 4.plug scanner to computer 5. plug to power supply. I forgot step 2, unplugging from power supply, and boom, no matter how much you repeat the steps, it never again detects the scanner. So, for the inexpensive price, it's worth it, but just hope you never have to unplug it and start over.
Pros: It worked fine on my old OS. Cons: When I upgraded to Windows XP they wouldn't give me a driver!
I was greatly disappointed to discover that Visioneer does not provide the drivers for Windows XP and this scanner. I have only owned this scanner for 2 years and they decide that it is too old to provide drivers for an XP upgrade. Thanks alot, Visioneer. It'll be a cold day in hell before I buy from you again.
