Pros: full, rich quality sound Cons: can't think of any
I bought the Altec Lansing ACS54 about a month ago. This 5 piece computer speaker system is awesome!!! It has a 4-inch sub-woofer and 4-speakers which provide for surround sound. It only cost me about $85 or so which may seem like much for computer...
Pros: cheap, great sound, nice design Cons: sub volume control inconvenient to get to
I was lucky enough to have the option of upgrading my speakers when I purchased my desktop just over a year ago. Needless to say, I jumped all over that oppotunity and got the ACS 44 Altec Lansings. What a joy it has been!
Pros: Good sound quality, easy cabling, seperate subwoofer volume Cons: Small hiss, volume can be hard to adjust, high price.
The ACS44's are a huge improvement over the tin-can speakers most of us are used to. There was nothing better than hooking these up to my computer and blaring my music and games. Good quality speakers for the price at which I got them.
Pros: Low cost, more sound for your money, convenient size(easy to fit in small places) Cons: Only 3 speakers, not five
I was on a budget for my newest computer. Since I was building it myself, I was able to get each product separately. These speakers first of all are Altec Lansing. In my opinion computer speakers don't get any better.
When I got my speakers,...
Pros: good sound with subwoofer Cons: not surround sound, no treble control
The Altec ACS44 Speaker system produce very good sound and can be purchased for less than $80. These speakers came with a new Dell computer system that I use at school where I teach instrumental music. When I first put in some cds of classical music, I...
Pros: Great sound, Great price, Nice size ( they're not huge!) Cons: none
I'd like to say that I originally purchased these speakers for their sound quality. But in order to be honest, I have to admit that I bought it for the subwoofer, and the glorious sounds it makes when playing my favorite shoot 'em up games ... mainly...
Pros: great for music, strong sound, good bass, speakers are small and affordable Cons: bad for human voice (talking into mike) comes out distorted, background hum when volume is turned up
These small, attractive, desk-space saving speakers sound great when you're thumping out the heavy bass on your latest ski-mix CD. I'd highly recommend these to anyone who uses their computer more than they do their stereo. They don't take up much space...
Pros: Price, Performance and Well Built! Cons: None!
There are two things to consider when purchasing speakers of any kind: price and sound quality. Both, in my mind, are equally important. What's the point in spending over your budget to get great sound, or spending within your budget to get bad...
Pros: low price, great sound, booming subwoofer Cons: limited volume control
Put the Sub in a corner and BOOOM! It sounds great, and you cant beat the price. if you have old weak speakers its time to upgrade and this is what you need. Its very affordable and blows away the competition. It sounds like a home system and can...
When I built my system about five years ago. I wanted the speakers to rock because I enjoy listening to music. I was also concerned about price because I did not have alot of cash at the time. So as I did my shopping thing I ran across the Altec 44's...
Pros: EXCELLENT quality sounds, inexpensive price Cons: Location of power/volume dial, shorted wire problem potential, location of subwoofer volume control
I'll start off by saying these are the best PC speakers I have owned. I've also heard a lot of other speakers at various computer stores, computer fairs and from those owned by friends/associates and I still prefer my ACS 44's. The base is clear and...
Not long ago it was quite a novelty to find computer systems with subwoofers. Times have changed and the subwoofer is the way to go if you want good sound. For anything from stereo sound in a game to even listening to mp3s, these speakers are great. I...
Pros: Great product by Altec Lansing. Very clear. Cons: The wire connecting the two small speakers is somewhat short.
I purchased these speakers with my computer that I purchased through http://www.mpi-pc.com. They cost me around $45.00 and I think they are great. You get a subwoofer with volume control and two small (yet pretty powerful) speakers.
Over the summer, I got a new desktop computer with most of the specs I wanted. I also got a really good sound card and wanted to put it to good use. So, I went speaker shopping at my local Comp USA. They had a variety of speakers, which I got to listen...
Pros: Works with just about all games, sounds clear and crisp, you can feel the bass Cons: NONE!
I got started in computer a long time ago when DOS was the standard and Win 3.1 had just come out. Back then the sound sucked, but it was new so it was understandable. When the more powerful and high tech computers came out I bought a Pentium 133mhz now...
