Pros: Great Bass, looks sleek and compact, available in black and white Cons: well- none really.
The Yamaha YST MS30 powered speakers with sub-woofer amazes me. When I first installed it, it was an orgasm to my ears, and I actually heard sounds and back beats that I didn’t hear with my previous Altec Lancing speakers (which came with my HP...
Pros: Great Sound, Compact Design, you can crank the volume waaaaay loud, it's under a hundred bucks! Cons: No surround sound or any fancy capabilities.
Let's face it - with all the great multimedia available on the Internet and the phenomenal sound produced by today's digital audio players, the last thing you need is a pair of computer speakers whose output sounds like your garbage disposal....
Pros: Great Sound. Great Price. Lasts. Cons: Cheap Feeling.
If you want great sound and deep bass for a nice price, then this is the speaker set for you. Ever since I have had these, I have enjoyed them. They are not the best in the market but are up with the really good ones. This is a brand that you can...
Pros: very musical sound for such an inexpensive speaker, great bass pitch and rhythm, clear highs Cons: limited bass extension & volume, a bit of a hole in the lower midrange
I bought these for my girlfriend because i was able to get a great deal on them ($55 - $20 rebate) about a year ago. I wasn't expecting very much from them, not being a big fan of 3-piece speaker systems, particularly cheap ones like this (see my...
Pros: Deep Bass, good highs, compact design Cons: none
I highly recommend these speakers. Let's compare them to the highly popular Altec Lansing ACS33's. 5 watts more, 20 dollar mail in rebate, adjustable stands, larger subwoofer driver, more compact, and magnetic shielding (which the ACS33 does not)....
Pros: Loud, Clear and static free Cons: None so far
When my $9.95 pair of el cheapo south american sweatshop produced speakers but the dust I knew it was time for something real. Something with some power and clarity. I headed on down to Fry's and went to work. I tested out every powered speaker system on...
Pros: The sound just blasts out of these bad boys... Cons: The subwoofer could be a little more powerful.
These little bad boys pump out a LOT of sound for their size... The subwoofer is also powerful and catches the low notes allowing you're gaming experience to climax to the top. These are some of the best speakers you can get for the price. Certainly...
Clean, crisp, and surprisingly loud by pdxstraycat ,Feb 13 '06
Pros: Sound quality, durability, portability, dynamic range/response, good control, particularly at lower volume levels. Cons: Wire length, though it's always a concern.
My brother-in-law brought his YST-MS30 speakers to a vacation weekend at a ski resort, and these speakers are surprisingly versatile. We hooked them up to an XM receiver and got great sound across multiple genres of music (metal, jazz, blue grass, 50s music, etc). We also plugged them into his computer and watched DVDs on a projector. The sound was excellent! We watched _Lord of War_ late a night with my parents asleep in the next room, and my 3 yo nephew asleep down the hall. It was loud enough for the effect, and we could hear ALL of the dialog cleanly without adjusting the volume. None of the sleepers awoke. They are quite powerful for their size, and quite portable.
In short, you can get decent room-filling sound out of these speakers and you can turn them way down and still have the dynamic response to hear everything clearly and cleanly.
