Pros: excellent service and connection, no binding agreements, multiple email accounts Cons: bare bones web hosting, little on the expensive side
Overview
Ok, it’s not AOL – and thank God for that (my last experience with a dial-up was AOL and they screwed up badly by allowing our account to get hacked into – long story – maybe another epinion). Regardless, choosing a dial-up ISP is...

Pros: Price Cons: iffy service
From Nov 99 until March 2000 these guys have been the worst ISP ever! Slow connects, frequent disconncects and lots of drops and poor routing. I would not even use them on a regular basis because of there unreliability. I even used NetZero for those...

Pros: Reliable, Easy to Use, Up to date modems Cons: Bad support, Out of Date Website
I am not a big fan of ISPs such as Prodigy and AOL. They offer useless content that you can get on the web for free. Also they tend to have lower download rates as well as high pings for gaming. That is why I originally chose Erols about a year ago....

Pros: Still easy to connect during the day Cons: Can't access email through other ISPs
I have a love/hate relationship with Erols. My second stab at internet
access, I thought I had a perfect match. I used to be able to stay
on line all day with Erols, rarely had any down time and EASY connectibility. Their tech support has...

Pros: Satisfactory service, fair prices Cons: Long long wait time for tech support
I chose Erols as my ISP for lack of anything better in my rural area. ChickenCoop.net didn't quite cut it for me. To get to the point quickly, Erols offers a fair price for satisfactory service, which is more than enough to make me happy. Fast...

Pros: No busy signals, very cheap Cons: None
I have used erols fro over 3 years and have found no problem with them. Unlike AOL, Erols never has a busy signal. Erols has a very good technical support group that will help out with any problem, and if they cna't figure it out right away, they call...

Pros: none Cons: slow, costly
If i had to describe Erols's service in a couple of words it would be: be patient. This Internet Service Provider (ISP) is fine if you have a lot of patience.
You have to have patience dialing up because you will never connect on the first...

Pros: Reliable, experienced Cons: Haven't found any
Erol’s internet provider service is outstanding. Like the Erol’s video clubs of the past, their customer service and help desks is right on the money. You can always reach a live voice if need be.
Connections speed is smooth and fast, rarely...

Pros: Monthly flat rate Cons: busy signals as frequent as with aol
When Erols originated, it was one of the very few internet service providers challenging aol. In its day, Erols allowed you to connect to the internet without any fear of getting a busy signal, no matter what time of day it was. It also offered a...

Pros: fairly inexpensive if you sign on for a year Cons: often slow
Sure, I almost always connect on my first try. However, that connection is usually slow. I bought a new modem because i thought it was a hardware problem. Boy was I wrong. Even after buying a new modem, the connections were still slow. However...

Pros: Decent connect speeds Cons: Poor customer service, spotty tech support, long phone waits.
As an Erols (now RCN) subscriber for more than two years, I experienced the good, the bad and the ugly of this particular ISP. On the upside, once they got their stuff together, I did connect at relatively high speeds (49k-50k). But along the way, it was...

Pros: None Cons: Unreliable, costly
Maybe this is area dependant but Erols is no longer reliable for me. My 2 year subscription is coming to an end soon and I'm not going to renew it. At first the access was fast. I was able to connect the first time I tried. This is no longer the...

Pros: no busy signals, SUPERB Tech support Cons: sometimes connects at lower speeds, sneaking up the monthly rates
I got to hand it to Erol's. I don't remember the last time I've gotten a busy signal. They have plenty of open lines, and their customer service is superb. You can call any time, day or night, and speak to a human being that knows what he's doing....

Pros: Competent Cons: Could Be Much Better
I picked up Erols, when it had just been bought out by RCN. I had RCN local and long distance telephone service. So, I figured why not give these guys a try?
Well, the deal was great unlimited 56k internet for $16.00 a month. Erols/RCN...
