Pros: Good connection speed, always connects on first try, 6MB webspace, newsgroup access Cons: price
After my never ending search for free internet came to an abrupt close with the deaths of many quality free isps I finally decided I had had enough and went to find a dependable pay dial-up internet service provider
Way before my free...

Pros: Reliable, steady service. Cons: Not free.
After plugging in my brand new (well...new to me, anyway) PC last Christmas, this newbie had to get online ASAP! Did I mention that I bought a used PC with the bare bones minimum installed....no boot up disk, no "frills", and no...

Pros: Reliable connection Cons: Horrible customer service
I was a Prodigy Internet customer for several years. I enjoyed their service, and very little problems with connection or their service in general. However, I had severe problems with their customer service.
Whenever, I would call them I would...

Pros: Connects the first time. Excellent support 24/7 Cons: none
Yes, in case you didn't know that..Prodigy was one of the first online services, even before AO-hell. Back in the days, before internet access, there were very few online services, Prodigy being one of them.
Back then, logging on with your...

Pros: Easy to Install, Good Site Navigation Cons: Poor Connectivity, Too Many Ads, Additonal Charges
I have an ongoing battle with my ISP. Their connection has been reasonably reliable, but their mail server is always down. This has forced me to use other online addresses for my business mail, which created another problem. Some of my business contacts...

Pros: Memories of the Way It Used To Be Cons: Connections or Lack Thereof
If it walks like a duck, quacks like a duck, looks like a duck - folks - it's a duck.
About two months ago, I subjected myself to a purchase of a new computer at Best Buy. All those who want to slap me now may email me at...

Pros: reliable access, no cut offs, connect on first try Cons: none
I have only good things to say about Prodigy. Prodigy doesn't have all the bells and whistles that some of the other ISP's do, but it doesn't need them. All I want out of an ISP is a stable connection to the Internet, and Prodigy does the job.

Pros: After months of problems, they finally stopped billing me. Cons: I was stupid enough to give them a second chance.
Over the years since I first learned about the Internet, I've tried several Internet service providers (ISPs). My early experiences included: AOL, Compuserve, and Prodigy.
Since then, I've moved on to Earthlink (now merged with Mindspring), but I...

Pros: Well priced, reliable, customer service, create your own web page. Price.
Cons: None.
I was surprised to see negative reviews on this ISP. My husband and I have had prodigy for almost 2 years an couldn't be more pleased.
We originally tried AOL, but it messed up our modem connections, and acted like a virus by installing...

Pros: Can connect 99% of the time Cons: Slow speeds
I've been using Prodigy for about 7 months now. I signed up for a whole year which made the monthly bill $14, which is great!
I am able to sign on 99% of the time with the first try, and I very rarely ever get disconnected. This is a big...

Pros: Can always connect. Cons: Is $22.00 a month the going rate?
My basic requirements of an ISP are: access to the Internet, e-mail availability, and affordable rates.
Access to the Internet
I have the opportunity to travel nationally and with a little planning I have found that I can connect...

Pros: It is cheap enough. It works 95% of the time. Cons: Once in a while you get a busy signal, sometimes it runs very slow.
When we first decided to go online we had a free cd for prodigy. It was for 3 months free. Since we were new to things we tried it. After the 3 months we decided to keep getting it. They offered one year at like $15 (not exact because I can't...

Pros: Basic Information and Access that is helpful Cons: Price and Nothing New
I would consider the Prodigy service to be a good ISP but don't consider it to be anything special. It has most of the same characteristics as the other more popular ones. It is moderately priced, has a decent start page, free web space and so on and...

Pros: Support, and all the extras Cons: dial-up cannot exceed 56k
There are many companies out there offering "free" Internet Service, but like they say "you get what you pay for".
Prodigy has many features that far surpass any other ISP such as:
Unlimited Access
NO...

Pros: They have been in the business for a long time Cons: Not quite as dependable as they used to be
Here's a tip about choosing an ISP, don't choose this one if you have a choice. My family has been Prodigy customers since the days when 1200 baud (1.2k for you newbies) modems were the top of the technology pyramid. I often wonder if Prodigy still has...
