Pros: Restore really works! Cons: none
A friend of mine bought a new computer with Windows ME. I had to show him how to turn it on, he knows next to nothing about computers.
When he set up his new computer I suggested that he immediately create a "restore point" if the factory...

Pros: Well worth the money Cons: none
Windows Millenium Edition is a great operating system. It comes with some extra small features that Windows 98 and 95 dont have. The operating sytem does not take that much space up on your hard drive either. The cool part about it is it doesn't require...

Pros: Maximized broadband. VPN. Stability. Cons: Pricey.
Many newer PC's come with Windows ME already installed. For most PC users, we already have either 95 or 98 . I want to briefly opinionate my view on WinME and if you should upgrade.
Marketing or...

Pros: Solid, stable OS Cons: Win98 in new fresh packaging
Well all the unannounced anticipation is over - Will Windows Me deliver on it's promise?
Windows Me - Microsoft upgrade from Windows 98 - but has it truly re-revolutionized the computing industry as it promised? Still has the simpler user...

Pros: Media Player 7, DirectX 7, Movie Maker, System Restore Cons: No dos, some manufacturers don't have drivers made yet
Windows Millennium is not a bad product. I should know. I get to sit around all day and fix it. I am a Support Proffesional for Windows Millenium. I've been doing this since before Millennium came out to the public, and it's really nice. ...

Pros: Offers some improvements over previous editions Cons: None as of yet
When my new computer arrived this past week, I decided that I had to get the upgrade to Windows Millenium Edition. First of all, there was a $40 rebate on some speakers I wanted if you bought any "Windows Me" product, and then Staples threw in...

Pros: Highly intuitive revamped interface--useful help files and utilities, many improvements and refinements over Win98se Cons: Nothing really "gotta have it" about this release
I've been running nothing but WindowsME at home since January, haveing been fortunate enough to download a "leaked" version (build 2450) and getting the "final" build 3000 from the same source with surprisingly not a whole lot of...

Pros: Faster, more stable, better graphics Cons: resource hog, requires upgrade of anti-virus software
In spite of telling myself repeatedly over the last few months that I would not buy another minor upgrade to Windows 98, when the sun set on September 14th Windows Me was my new operating system. What happened? I blame my wife. She knows me too well and...

Pros: more stable, faster, lots of bells/whistles Cons: breaks some backwards compatibility
I've been a Microsoft Beta Tester since the first Win98. I tested Win98, Win98SE, and WinME (now testing Whistler). I have to say that WinME is the _first_ version of any Win9x I would actually recommend to anyone. However, if you have a choice, get the...

Pros: Lots of new features plus fixed issues from win9x Cons: Some manufacturers haven't put drivers out for hardware that are for specific use with winme, but 9 out of 10 times you can use your windows 98 drivers
This is the best Windows 9x based OS yet! This is the way Windows 98 should have been...it's got the look and feel of Windows 200 Professional, but without the extra network features that Windows 200 has. Even though the upgrades are very cheap right...

Pros: Easy installation Cons: Not as many device drivers on the installation CD as previous versions of Windows
Microsoft's last update to the Windows 9x operating system is a fairly painless installation, if planned carefully, and adds quite a few subtle new features, and integration of popular multimedia technologies.
Why upgrade at all? The easiest...

Pros: User Friendly, Great Multimedia Cons: Uses more system resources
Microsoft's newest operating system, Windows ME, short for Millenium Edition is designed for individual home users, not for business. It is available as an update package for around $100, Windows ME is the most radical upgrade to date in the Windows 9x...

Pros: Easy installation Cons: No DOS!
I know, this is my second opinion, but now from a different prespective;
My PC crashed this weekend, so I went out and bought a full retail version of WinME ($150, not bad!). The installation went easier than I could ever have imagined....

Pros: works great, looks great, good name Cons: none
What a wonderful job Bill Gates continues to do. I tell you, I think he must be worth seventy-eight billion with a B dollars. He design and produces wonderful programs like Windows Millenium Edition. Plus the name is catchy and original. Instead of going...

Alright, I have had my new computer which came with Windows ME for about a month now (yes, I got it before it was released on the market) and I really enjoy it. However, when reading the reviews for this product, I became a little confused on some of...
