Pros: A little faster than 98. Isn't too much of a resource hog. Cons: It's win98se with a bunch of free downloads basically.
Just when you thought you've seen Microsoft do their worst, they outdo themselves. Just what is this fascination with new versions. Granted, Win ME has some advantages and a lot of disadvantages. Here they are:
Good:
A system...

Pros: Faster, more advanced, and just plain better than Win98 or Win98SE Cons: Haven't found any of those yet.
A friend of mine convinced me to use the Windows ME upgrade. I was very skeptical because I had heard there were alot of problems with it etc... But then I decided that it was worth a try. (I was about to format my hard drive for one of my...

Pros: Stable, Compatible with virtually all Win95/98 software Cons: no DOS Prompt, hefty system requirements
I haven't seen a lot of web integration that has seemed worthwhile and worth the system overhead it imposes, but then again I still like to use the DOS prompt from time to time. In WinMe, the DOS Prompt is no longer available, lord knows what your going...

Pros: Multimedia fabulous, more reliable Cons: not much more else new
Software is released more often than gas at an El Paso Taco Bell, so trying to stay up to date is almost impossible. The first personal Windows OS since Win 98 SE is now the latest in this line. Do you need it?? Do you do lots of scanning, digital...

Pros: Multitude of wizards Cons: compatibility with hardware
I think that Microsoft's Millennium Edition is by far the best operating system to date. In the beginning I had some serious problems when defragmenting the drive and had to uninstall and reinstall Windows Me around 4-5 times. Whenever I defragmented the...

Pros: Hardly any, system restore feature was nice, clean interface, nothing great.. Cons: Highly unreliable. Unstable. Many errors.
Got this pre-installed on a Compaq Presario 2 years ago. This was the time where I said to myself "Windows...is Windows...is, well, Windows". They're all the same. Well, I didn't know much then. They certainly are not all the same, and this OS is...

Pros: painless installation - Cons: buggy and locks up
After a straight forward installation of Windows ME over Windows 98SE, the problems began. Windows ME did not recognize my Logitech Scrolling Mouse and I had to install that driver separately.
Each time I used the scroll bars in Front Page...

Pros: Cheap, Cleaner Interface, More Media Apps Cons: None
Windows Me, Short for Millennium is a wonderful upgrade for any modern day PC. For the modest upgrade price you get many new features as well as a much leaner and cleaner looking user interface.
The Internet support is much better, you can't...

Pros: File Protection, Roll back feature Cons: Still Win98, take away real mode, solve some bugs.
I have used Windows ME in both the beta stage as well as the the final version, and about the only thing that I liked about ME from Win98 is the recovery feature and the file protection system.
If you are like me, like to have the latest,...

Pros: Faster than Windows 98, crashes less, restore function ... Cons: Still doesn't fix all of Windows problems ...
Windows ME is a definite improvement over Windows 98.
Windows ME is much more stable than previous versions of Windows. Active Desktop, known for its errors, has finally been improved. The blue screens so commonly seen in Windows 95...

Pros: Nice icons, good autodetection, great driver searchability. Cons: Dumbed down even farther(didn't think that was possible did you)
I have been forced to upgrade from one windows operating system to another because of annoying little additions. I didn't want to move to Windows 98 but I needed complete USB support. I didn't want to get 98 Second Edition. But my family needed...

Pros: Looks, bootable-cdrom, compatibillity Cons: SLOW, bugs, crashing, nothing really new, bad memory management
Whoever says that Windows ME is good should really try installing some other Windows versions, as they have clearly not noticed that this is the slowest version of all of them. Even Windows 98 is faster!
ME might look very nice with the...

Pros: Loads quite fast; not bad when it actually works Cons: Constantly crashes
I recently built myself a computer, and decided to try out Windows ME on it, to see if it was better than Windows 98 Second Edition. What a mistake!
Firstly, it somehow managed to completely mess up the file allocation table on one of my hard disks,...

Pros: Never Crashes Cons: NONE!
Windows Me! Yes it is worth to upgrade! Microsoft has finally done something right!
Windows Me never crashes or throws you OEM’S! How, you ask? System File
Protection. This works in the background and prevents dll’s from becoming...
