Pros: Good start for a multimedia hobbyest that doesn't have a Mac. Cons: Crashes frequently and the more you upgrade, the less stable it becomes.
When I first installed WinME (the day it was released) it was like a blessing. My PC ran faster and seemed more stable. It recognized evrything and I enjoyed the new "retro" look. I even convinced my neighbors to go out and get it! But it seemed that as...

Pros: 5x faster boot up time, movie maker, internet games Cons: NONE
I like Windows ME very much - it is an elegant upgrade to Windows 98, both in the graphical interface and under the hood. Windows is still the best operating system of its type. Should you upgrade? Users of Win95 will see BIG improvements, to include all...

Pros: It might have been fun Cons: Network hardware incompatibility
Installing Windows ME is really an easy thing to do for a system upgrade.
I have done it three times now.I do like some of the features like the system restore and the `improved` networking that Microsoft was supposed to bring to the user. ...

Pros: Boots Quicker Cons: Lots of problems
I got Windows ME for free when I bought my computer. It came pre-loaded with 98SE and they threw in the ME package for free and for me to do the upgrade myself. When I got the computer home, I used it in its factory form with 98 SE and everything...

Pros: New icons, new plug and play features! Cons: Not exactally a corvette
If you’re a computer nerd, and have been for quite a while, do you remember when Windows first came out? I mean wow, the graphics instead of the old black screen with text commands. Then came Windows 95, this was neat; a newer interface and a higher bit...

Pros: More Features, More stable, A bit more fun Cons: Still Can crash. Not drastically different from any other win9x OS.
I saw windows ME sitting on the shelf of my local PC World store. It was a special limited edition promotion package - a reduced price, for the full program. But it only was for people with windows 98 or windows 98 SE.
But I had of course got...

Pros: Much Improvement, Pinball Cons: Still prone to errors
Windows Me is a great improvement over it's 95/98 big brothers and shows a lot of promise and new features. However it still looks like it's brothers and has the same fussy attitude. ME allowed my system to flex it's muscles a little more than it could...

Pros: Comes free with new PC, automatic update Cons: Slow interface, no DOS environment for tweaking, software compatibility issues
Windows ME was installed on my new PC. It is incredibly user-friendly - too much so for an experienced user. Some of the features are nice - like the automatic windows upgrade feature - but these features hog disk space. For example, it's very easy to...

Pros: Doesnt crash as much as Win 98 Cons: Takes a lot of hard drive space
If Windows ME had not come with my new laptop computer I probably would still buy it. Well that's what I thought until we decided to upgrade my husbands computer. LORD have mercy, its been a nightmare. We have to reformat the hard drive and start all...

Pros: It has a nice boot screen... Cons: Bogs down, poor driver handling, reverse compatibility?, software confusion everywhere.
As a Microsoft Best Tester, I was one of the first to install this OS on a computer. I went through the entire beta process and was, at times, impressed with Millennium. Now, after working with the final release at home and many other people's at work I...
