Pros: Biola is Christlike, intentional, relevant, world-impacting and both academically and spiritually excellent. Cons: Cost, Financial Aid Department Efficiency and Consistency
I am delighted and privileged to be now 4 years post graduation and finding myself not only still fond of Biola, but growing increasingly more so as time goes on. How many people can say that about their University? My major was Christian Education ...
Pros: Awesome school, teachers, people. Cons: Kind of expensive
This is my first year at Biola University, and I love it so far. It is different from the other schools I have visited, for some bad reasons, but mainly for great reasons.
First of all, I love the atmosphere at this school. Everyone is...
Pros: faculty, academics (naming just a few) Cons: not very diverse, cost
Biola University is quite a place.
Faculty
The faculty of Biola are unparalleled. Every professor shows a deep concern for their students and for the quality of their instruction. All full time faculty members are required to...
Pros: Academics, Extracurriculars, Christian Values Cons: Tuition, Small school
Let me say right off: I loved my Biola experience. I loved dorm life, eating in the "Caf," the professors, the extra-curriculars, chapel, everything. I was looking for a small Christian liberal arts university and I found it, at Biola. ...
Pros: This is a great program! Cons: Price, less clinical time than AA programs
When I entered Biola's Nursing department I knew very little about what other Nursing departments had to offer. I had applied to several schools, but never had the opportunity to visit any of them. I was not disappointed in my choice!
Pros: Stellar Academics, Intimate Class Size, Constantly Improving Facilities, Spiritual Life, Faculty Accessibility, Cons: Cost, Not quite enough ethnic Diversity, No Football team yet
I am a graduate of Biola University, C/O 2004, with degrees in both Philosophy and Biblical Studies (Theology). I believe and the statistics show that Biola's undergraduate philosophy program is one of the best undergraduate programs in the world. I know ...
To most non-Christian students, the name "Biola University" is as familiar as trying to assemble a jet engine. But to those who are Christian and are considering to go to a Christian school, the name Biola rings a familiar bell. As you might have read...
Pros: PROS - Great academically
Cons: CONS - Nightmare for Parents who need financial aid.
Academically it is great - administratively - it is a parent's worse nightmare. There is no financial aid per se. They request a FAFSA, but do not even use it. They REQUIRE a copy of your Tax Return BEFORE even considering financial aid. (So, why ...
Biola University BOLD Program by jwhittaker71 ,Nov 11 '08
Pros: Excellent professors, safe learning environment, rigorous academic requirements, library resources, and reputation Cons: Cost and the lack of a Law School
I just completed the BIOLA University BOLD Program for a Bachelors of Science in Organizational Leadership. The BOLD program is specifically designed as a degree completion program for working adults. My experience was extremely positive. Great professors, a fun and safe learning environment, extensive library resources, and most importantly a great reputation are all things that brought me to Biola University. The academic rigor was substantially higher than other similar programs my colleagues have described and I can only offer it high praise in this arena. In fact, because of this, as a manager looking for competent employees, I would consider very favorably anyone who completed this program.
